Has any other club ever had a worse Premiership record than Saints? 17:53 - Jan 26 with 479 views | saintmark1976 | Yesterday the Southampton Echo report of yet another Saints defeat stated that the we have won just one game out of the last thirty six Premiership attempts, spread over two seasons. Assuming their statistics to be correct I wonder if there has ever been a Premiership team worse than ourselves ? Given that it’s looking extremely unlikely that we will even equal Derby’s pathetic eleven points relegation total it would indeed be a comfort to learn that at some point in time there was actually a more embarrassing team than us. Has any other club ever had a worse Premier League record than Saints? on 18:01 - Jan 26 with 430 views | dirk_doone | No, not even in the history of the Football League, since there have been 3 points for a win. We are about to break every record in the book as the worst top flight team in history. But, in 1899/1900, when there were only 34 matches and 2 points for a win, Loughborough finished with 8 points in the old Second Division. That record still stands. [Post edited 26 Jan 18:08]

Great, we only need another 3 points not 6 - brilliant news! | |
| I wholly disapprove of what you say and will defend to the death your right to say it. |
