Crystal Palace Game Matchday Thread on 16:49 - Dec 29 with 1065 views | Southamptonfan | The players arnt good enough. It's very simple. It doesn't matter who is manager or how we play. If we can't score enough because we don't have match winners, then you can't ever win.

Crystal Palace Game Matchday Thread on 16:57 - Dec 29 with 1001 views | Flamingbankers | That's it 2-1 Palace. Predictable - I predicted the exact scoreline. Saints just not good enough en masse. We lurch on.

Crystal Palace Game Matchday Thread on 16:59 - Dec 29 with 983 views | JoeEgg | Well the game just confirms what we all knew already - we are not good enough and any glimmer of hope for survival has been extinguished and its back to the Championship. Our forward with the exception of Dibling are not Premier League standard and we lack power and presence right across the midfield. A sad day but thats our Premier League status well and truly gone.

The answer is get rid of the owners. As I have consistently said, swap the manager time and time and again if we like, but we still have very poor players or at least we don't have any match winners because you need to spend 40 million on a striker if you want a quality striker. These owners won't do it. Get rid of them

With relegation now a dead certainty, you'd like to think the players would play with a bit more freedom & a lot less pressure on them. The last few months of the season is a time for the new gaffer to get to know his squad & have them play his way. It's important the owners get the comings & goings right in the Summer - ready for life back in the Championship. Sadly, going on their previous history, I won't be holding my breath.

"We have had a lot of interest in buying the club, including some wealthy individuals. I just don't think the fans will like them though". Martin Semmens 2021, when Gao put the club up for sale. [Post edited 29 Dec 2024 17:12]

Elon Musk is helping Reform bankroll their political campaign and along with Elon's mates Nigel Farage & Donald Trump, fellow Reform MP Rupert Lowe should be begging Farage to get in on the next Musk/Farage meeting and persuade Musk to buy the club. Manchester United were Musk's favourite team when he was younger... but we'll forgive him that. Imagine a Saints shirt with 'TESLA' on the front... let alone the Yankee-style, scantily-clad cheerleaders as entertainment. I'm in!
