Rusty has been complaining about our luck this season. But he can't complain about the scheduling of this fixture. Spurs:
- have only 4 points from their last 5 games
- are now in the bottom half of the table
- have a long injury list
- had 7 youngsters on th bench for their last game
- try to play out from the back with Fraser Forster in the side
- played a Thursday night European away game where they had to work hard
- deserved to lose to Rangers who aren't up to PL standards
- a senior player, Timo Werner, was publicly slammed by the manager
- another senior player, Romero, has just publicly criticised the club
- the manager is not just under pressure but is clearly showing it too
Surely, even a Russell Martin side can't lose at home to this lot???

We will pointlessly play the ball around the back and eventually give it to Son who'll score, Spurs will look toothless and there for the taking, but Martin won't allow our players to attack so that won't matter.
I'm going 3-1 Spurs in what will most likely be the most boring game of football all weekend, played at a stupid kick off time so that overseas "fans" can get their fix of paint drying in before the working week starts.
After the game Martin will say how brave we were and utterly ignore that his complete and utter f*cking incompetence is going to lead to us having the lowest points total of any premier league team ever.

Even Russell Martin will realize he'll have to abandon the passing around at the back for this one or else the incipient campaign against him is going to turn nasty. Of course, afterwards, in the unlikely event that we win, he'll claim that it was sticking to his principles that won the game. If we lose as usual, he'll claim that he played the tactics the fans wanted and this was the result.
We'll use up most of our energy in the opening 20 minutes and afterwards everybody will say how well we played then. But Spurs like to play attacking football with their back line high up the pitch so, if by some miracle we are leading, I envisage the final 20 minutes being played almost entirely in our half. Considering Spurs' highly-publicised injury problems, their probable lineup looks very strong, especially in attack. If we try to do the silly passing in front of our own goal, then Son, Solanke, Johnson and Kulusevski will have a field day.
The only way we'll beat them is by putting their defence under pressure and by doubling up on their right flank as that's where they look vulnerable. If we let them play their usual high line, by just passing sideways and backwards in front of it and not playing long balls over and through it, they'll have us wrapped up in our own gift box by the final 20 minutes.
