A Rough Guide To Wolverhampton Wanderers on 09:43 - Nov 5 with 1618 views | Joiedevivre | Despite the fact West Ham’s stadium is hated nationwide, I do admire old fashioned stadiums with a curved stand. As I see from viewings of former matches, Molineux was like this where today’s away end stands. Still is to a certain extent a similar shape. Stamford Bridge, Eastville, Villa park are other that used to be bowl shaped, mainly behind the goals.

Where the away stand is now at Molyneaux used to be a straight stand, however the opposite stand did have a little curve at the end. Stamford Bridge was a horrible place to watch football when it was bowl shaped up to about 1992 ish I think, you were miles from the pitch and it had no atmosphere, even the infamous shed end was only called that as it had a small covered area at the back and about 85% of it was open. Eastville likewise, you were far from the pitch and it was a big open ground and the atmosphere wasnt great. Villa had a cycle track round it till about the first world war, but since then has been a straighforward ground with all four stands close to the pitch ( Thanks Google)

A Rough Guide To Wolverhampton Wanderers on 10:26 - Nov 5 with 1551 views | franniesTache | Nick i'm pretty sure the Bluebrick has shut down down so there's literally no away friendly pubs in Wolves now, best bet is to drink in Brum and get the train/tram up instead

Was gonna say, last time I was there (the year Prowsey scored that free kick) I frequented the Bluebrick, but the whole city remains pretty dire.

I’ve been horse racing in Wolverhampton and then into the town after. There are some good pubs there. A very enjoyable day out.
