It was the questions we had wrong. |

Hes has to be a better option than the chelsea lump. Regarding the Article - Nick he came in for a huge fee at championship level. So a lot was expected of him. He wasnt what we needed at that time. Maybe hes found his level for now. [Post edited 9 Oct 10:27]

I can’t disagree on Lesley Ugochukwu. Seen milk turn faster. We really did waste our 2 loan slots. Lesley Ugochukwu was on the bench last Saturday and Cornet was nowhere to be seen. Much like the Bournemouth game before someone beats me to it. 😉

Yep, Ugochukwu and Cornet, two more triumphs for our Recruitment Team. Never mind, there’s always the prospect to look forward to of Ross Stewart actually playing a full game for us next season, when we are in The Championship.

I'd rather see Southampton recall Danny Rohl.

Didn't we return Holgate to Everton in January on account of him being utter dogsh1te?

Sheffield Wednesday Fear Southampton Will Recall Shea Charles on 13:19 - Oct 10 with 1252 views | NYC_Saint | Is there not a pattern here? Les started multiple games for Chelsea and got injured hence he's with us for game time. But now he's looking a shadow of his former self. Charles (I thought) started well but then struggled, now he's performing well. I'm just wondering if we just have a way of coaching that works during the week but doesn't translate to Saturday 3 pm??!

OK but, like for like, we were in the championship last year and he went cold and he's gone hot in the championship this year (Wednesday are a championship team right?). Maybe he's young and a year older/better/more mature, I just wonder if we're instilling something that just doesn't translate to a match?

Maybe, or maybe he's playing in a position/style that suits him better, but either way when you're 19 years old, 1 year extra of age makes a big difference and we've seen how big the gap is between PL and Championship players. Tino, Lavia and Dibling are real exceptions to the rule in being able to play at the top level at that age (and Lavia wasn't really able as he wasn't ready physically - the same may be true of Dibling). It shouldn't be expected of them. The norm is more Edozie, Larios or Sam Amo - they may turn out to be decent players but they're not ready yet. Saints were idiots to expect so much from these young players 2 years ago. It may be one small area where Banana Republic have learnt something since they started.
