5 Things About Bournemouth 16:13 - Oct 1 with 1155 viewsSaintNick

1. The trains were a shambles, the 3.01 from Totton was cancelled, the 10.15 home was put back to 10.30 so Saints fans could get it, but they then cancelled all the scheduled stations apart from Brockenhurst and as they also cancelled the 11.15 I suspect Bournemouth fans who would have gone to New MIlton or Christchurch would have been stranded, when I got back to Southampton central the train to Totton was cancelled.

2. The Bell pub was crowded but ok, but seemed to have put the drinks prices up.

3. Its a bit of a trek through a dark field to get from Pokesdown Station to the ground .

4. The security and searchs to get in the ground were over the top, although the people doing them were friendly.

5. £5.50 in the ground for a pie was outrageous, but they were nice.

Have tried to erase the memory of Monday from my mind, but here goes.

1. Chaplins remains the best pub within walking distance of the ground

2. I saw Steven Davis in the away end, walked past me in the concourse at half-time when I was contemplating walking out. How we could do with him in the team now (or even bloody managing it...)

3. Boscombe fans are shite

4. Their team are far too good for the support they get

5. Thankfully didn't have to rely on a train home, but still only got home just before midnight, and I only live 4 miles from the ground.....
