My aunt worked for the Villa for almost 50 years and lived very close to Villa Park. In her later years with them and after she retired she used to get complimentary tickets - not directors box, either a Holte End ground pass or lower tier main stand unreserved seats and whenever we went up there on a visit I’d go and watch Villa if they had a home game. Saw GS play on probably a dozen occasions not v Saints. A player that got ‘bums off seats’ on his good days and idolised by the Villa faithful. Very sad to hear not only the fact he’s gone but the way it happened. It will leave family and friends with so many if only’s. RIP Gary, enjoyed watching you as a neutral at Villa Park ⚽️ |  |
