The discovery of six hostages (including women) found dead in a tunnel in Gaza has provoked protests against the Israel government. However, to me the fact they were killed immediately when rescue became likely shows that no party is worse than Hamas. Basically the only Israelis encountered in that cross-border incursion on October 7th who stayed alive are those that Hamas could use as pawns. Everybody else was murdered on the spot, and if the hostages are no longer of use they too are killed. That looks more like genocide than the admittedly OTT actions of Israel in Gaza. I disagree. I don’t think any other nation would go about this situation any differently to what Israel is doing and has done.
If anything other nations would be less cautious.
I’m yet to hear a compelling argument for how to deal with Hamas in a kinder, gentler way. Terrorists see kindness as weakness. And Arab nations and their people only know strength. Hence why Islam and dictators reign supreme.

You’re wrong about Israel. They’re not obsessed with revenge at all. They’ve accepted every two state solution offer whilst the ‘Palestinians’ have rejected every single one.
Israel do have every civilised nation on their side. The fluff pieces in media pretending that this is something to do with the poor Palestinians simply wanting statehood mean nothing. It’s all smoke and mirrors.
Israel are fighting against an enemy who believe this is a holy war and they are taught to hate Jews and taught they should be butchered. This isn’t said in the west because they don’t want to have that conversation, but it’s a fact. The fear of being called names like racist of Islamophobic scares people to death which I find completely bizarre.

History has shown us the primary objective of any leader be it monarch, prime minister, president or other head of state should be to protect the realm, its interests and everyone living in it.
Somehow in a remarkably short period of time we’ve gone from being the most powerful nation on the planet to a position where we’ve given away control of our food supply, energy supply and resources to other nations that we could very well end up in conflict with in the next few decades. And how did we reach this point? The pursuit of money, the scrabbling around in the dirt for a few coins and a tiny percentage point of “economic growth” is now the most important thing.
If, God forbid we end up in a war any time soon we are literally a sitting duck. The Russians will cut off our power, the Chinese can cut off our steel, the Iranians have hundreds of thousands of people already in our country sympathetic to their interests just waiting for the call.
We’ve had ten consecutive prime ministers (including Thatcher, she started the dogma of the financial market worship) who have actively been working against the interests of this country and its people. | |
