great and interesting article Keith.
The Gordon situation reinforces what i have believed for a long time our distance from the main hubs of Lancashire Midlands and London make it hard to attract players when they can get a move to clubs more local to them.
The Providence one then is down to a "change" in proviosional terms with his club moving the goal posts ...hopefully a compromise can be achieved....but id diesny appear its our owners whi are the ussue this time?

Seems to be, some would say they should have signed him ten days ago, but I think the club have pretty much been trying to secure him for at least a week.

It seems very strange that his club is letting Providence stay and train with us when they could be utilising him and that is without the implications of if he got injured.

The oddest situation you could come across, the fact he’s still about should tell us he’s of interest.

Reminiscent of the Ntcham situation, I like what is on offer I'm going try stopping me?

This time of year it's all about brinkmanship. Every club is trying to get the most for their players whilst trying to spend the least for other people's. For some reason our supporters seem to think that we're unique for having some deals take longer than others.

As the article correctly illustrates, there are two sides in every negotiation.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

And that would require some guile and cunning ,something I’m not sure we have .

Is the move for the Swedish player dead as well Keith?

Other than strengthening the squad to cope with suspensions or injuries I honestly don’t think new players are going to make the slightest bit of difference.

The players are being asked to play a style of football that’s going to knock any individuality out of them and they’ll be doing the same as every other player - passing for the sake of it and going sideways at best. Undoubtedly Ronald is going to have a flea in his ear after last night’s performance!

Not sure about him, could be wrong but he’s either going to be produced in a tardis like way by the Swans, or it just never got off the ground. Some say he was close others say never a target. On him there’s very limited information. Which is why there’s nothing of any note being written about him.

That is absolutely where we are .
I might have suggested so before
Our players are being asked/ told to play as Williams wants
Sadly,we don’t have a captain with the balls to stand up to him .

We don’t have to play like this l if we do,the ground will empty . Pointless happy clappers trying to look for positives. There are none. We have another dud coach . He hasn’t ,isn’t and won’t improve players . He cannot. He has an idea but its implementation is not feasible .

He could prove to be the worst we have had on a while . He seems as stubborn as others .

I am very fearful indeed at what I’m seeing

The crowd seemed both bored and commotose and more will drift away and they won’t come back unless the produce is better and the coach doesn’t utter such shite

If I was a Swansea fan, I wouldn’t get too excited about that match.
Jesus, they are boring.
Possession for possession sake isn’t football.
Felt sorry for their centre forward

From what I could hear last night the crowd were very vociferous and given what was on display that was admirable.

That said, I had lunch with a Premier Club seat holder today and he said even in that area there are mutterings of discontent all around and some saying they won’t renew. The owners need to keep an eye on this.
