West Ham Banning Concessions 18:26 - Jul 8 with 839 viewsUTS1885

It looks like current season ticket holders who sit in central side seating stands will no longer be able to bringh their children or older parents. They will be forced out of their seats and moved further back. Only new full adult pricing and other nonsense will be allowed in these seats. Unbelievable really and we must guard against this happening at St Marys. Weve already had the bullshit of padded seats in the central blocks and so called 'premium seating' that was for many years just regular pricing.

I'm afraid that's the way football is going, older fans are not moneymakers for clubs. They tend not to buy shirts and other merchandise. Many don't drink lots at the ground, Cheaper tickets will be phased out over time.

Saints have already done this, back in the days of Cortese children and OAP concessions were stopped in the central blocks of the Itchen & Kingsland and although they were restored a few years ago after he had left, this season has seen some reclassification of blocks as centre rather than outer centre and although concession tickets are still there, they are now just £50 cheaper than the adult price.

In simple terms a child or OAP in the central blocks now pay £649 rather than the £349 they paid last season

Supply and demand. Small stadium capacity means high ticket prices.

As the population and the number of fans continue to grow so does the demand for tickets. Bournemouth ticket prices are even higher.

Saints arent that high when compared with other clubs.

Brighton for instance charge adults £890 for a ticket in the centre of heir East Stand, our equivalent is £699 in the Kingsland, Forest boast they are one of the most affordable in the Premier League yet their equivalent seat to the centre of the Kingsland is £700 a pound dearer than us.

Everton claim to be the cheapest but their prices arent far off ours he lower bullens, for those that know Goodison the front section of the away section is the lower bullens is £650, a little cheaper than our £699, but the Upper Bullens, ie the rear section of the downstairs of the stand is £720 so dearer.

All in all Saints are quite competitive

Big stadiums dont equal cheaper tickets, the cheapest season ticket at Tottenham is £856, that is for a seat right at the top of the stadium . the seats next to the away section in the lower section start at £1,614 for the season, the seats next to them in the Wings are only £1,345.

West Ham do have a season ticket at £345, this is in the rear few rows at the back of the upper tier behind the goal, at this point you are around 100 metres from the pitch.

Their equivalent to centre Kingsland is £1,175, most of their season tickets for adults are over £1,000
