It would be helpful to know for those of us that have a long return journey - I plan to set off at lunchtime today

Persisting down at the moment and due to rain heavily until lunchtime, clearing slowly and then stopping at tea time , Fine through the evening.. Yesterday was OK until plate evening and it rained until late into the night. I normally wouldnt worry about it if they have sorted out the drain problem from a few weeks ago ..and hopefully its got 2 or 3 hours before kick off to with a drying wind.

Barrow v Bradford already off because of waterlogged pitch.

https://www.sportsmark.net/product/pitch-dry-roller/ Do the ground staff have these or similar at their disposal?

We have in the past. I am sure they are using them if they need them. Of course, covers are best if the drains have stopped being effective. I thought we were taking legal advice on the pitch replacement contract that was to have lasted 10 years but has barely lasted 3!

Halifax versus Oldham tomorrow night is already off.
They’re trying to find an alternative venue.
Good luck with that as technically it’s an all ticket match.

Doubt it will make much difference given all the rain we've had today.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Are we trying to get it on tomorrow? Borehamwood will be here. Other clubs have managed to do that recently

Absolutely no idea. I'm not sure Boreham Wood will be here either; they might well have been en-route. It would also mean a hotel for them.

As I've said to EllDale on another thread, Thursday could be a possibility.

Who else has done it recently, apart from Halifax v York?

Might it be worth investing in one or two of those pitch water rollers if we don't have one already of course.
Also it would be good to have an update regarding the pitch and the legal advice.

I have certainly seen water rollers used at San Spotty but I think they were borrowed from Rochdale Cricket Club.

Don't forget Jimbo, we are still skint.

Halifax are to play home games against Barnet and Ebbsfleet at Accrington.
Still no news on the Oldham game though.
