Braverman and flags and consequences for football 19:56 - Oct 10 with 6516 views | trampie | Surely there is nothing wrong with a Palestinian flag ?, is she real ?, or is this being misreported ?, ok Hamas flag being outlawed (I assume there is such a thing, not that I would know) but we should not ban some state flags and allow others.

Braverman and flags and consequences for football on 20:37 - Oct 10 with 4083 views | trampie | Celtic always fly the Palestinian flags and usually loads of them, what is Braverman going to try and stop them doing that but let Rangers fly the Israeli Star of David flag ? Forest Green always used to fly the Palestinian flag at their ground, not the supporters now but the club itself, they also had "End the invasion and occupation of Palestine”. on their advertising hoardings. I remember Leicester City players dancing on the Wembley pitch with a Palestinian flag after some final.or other. Wrexham fans fly a Palestinian flag on their kop, thinking about it Bangor City fans also fly a Palestinian flag and Wales national team are playing in North Wales tomorrow night, is Braverman saying the locals can't take their Palestinian flags but somebody could take an Israeli flag if they wanted.

Braverman and flags and consequences for football on 21:16 - Oct 11 with 3669 views | majorraglan | I’ve had a quick look online and it appears Hamas has its own flag and that the military wing of Hamas also has its own flag, both have green backgrounds, one has white writing on it while the other has writing and a few images on it. These flags are completely different to the Palestinian flag which is what Braverman was referring to. I could envisage situations where displaying the Palestinian flag could result in a Public Disorder offences being committed, I can also envisage a situation where some would argue the waving of a Palestinian flag is merely showing support to a group people (the general Palestinian population and not Hamas) who are repressed etc etc by a powerful neighbour. People will draw their own conclusions and have their own views on this as evidenced in the other thread. The bottom line though is that the Palestinian flag is not an Hamas flag. What’s happened in Israel is abhorrent, it’s so sickening it’s beyond comprehension. Hundreds, thousands of innocent people have been slain and many more will experience the same fate over the coming days. I wouldn’t be surprised if Iran had been involved in the background.

I hope they do because what has that got to do with football? There is enough horrible sh1t going on in the world and for 90 minutes fans & families can just tap out and enjoy themselves without protesters, counter protesters, politicians making them feel guilty for watching their team.

Braverman and flags and consequences for football on 10:46 - Oct 12 with 3522 views | trampie | Black Lives Matter support the Palestinians, footballers over here take the knee in support of Black Lives Matter, football authorities just like Government bodies have a high proportion of a certain group of people and they are at odds with the grassroots, football authorities don't want to make the same mistake as Government bodies and go against the sentiment of the people.

They already have . That is why Israel has to play in Europe qualifications groups in the World Cup rather Asian groups as they would have to play Arab countries.

The Senedd won't fly the Israeli flag, the Scottish Parliament won't either, I would be surprised if the Republic of Ireland were not of the same mind also, they made a fuss about the EU putting Israeli flag on one of their buildings, Westminster and Downing Street just like the EU for some reason picked a side and lit up their buildings in the colours of the Israeli flag.

Probably as a mark of respect for the 100's that were slaughtered by Hamas.

Probably because a Untied nations member democratic country was attacked by a terrorist group and over 1000 were killed mainly women and children. Strange how you did not object to the senedd flying the Ukrainia flag when Russia was invaded. It probably tells you all you need to know about the Senedd it does not represent the vast majority of the Welsh people.

The United Nations figures show that between 2008 to 2020 that 5,590 Palestinians were killed and 251 Israelis were killed, so why no flying flags or lighting up Parliament buildings for all those Palestinian deaths ?

The Palestinians will be viewed as casualties as a result of military action / defending Israel. As much as people won’t like it that isn’t considered the same as what happened on Saturday.

Yes, without getting too political, imo the West are on the wrong side of history, they are backing the oppressors, if they said to Israel you need to do this and you need to do that otherwise you will be shunned by the international community there might be a chance, but the West are backing Israel and it's because the World feel guilty about the Holocaust and as a result they are letting Israel get away with it.

The UK and the USA helped set up and back Israel since 1945, they will always back them because they are the middle east police and they have been funded by the UK amd the USA to make sure that the muslim middle eastern countries dont kick off, they have got away with murdering 1000s of Palestinians whilst slowly pinching their land, all that doesn't get into the news but when Israelis get killed its all over the news, what hamas has done is disgusting but people need to know that Israel aren't innocent. Israeli people have gone from being the persecuted to the persecutor, its ironic that an uber right wing organisation tried to exterminate their race and now Israel have become right wing. Personally I don’t blame them after all they’ve been through. Edit, I don’t see any difference in right or left wing anymore. The extremes of both if they are in discussion are inseparable.

Do you think it's a mental health thing ?, rapists and murderers often have a background of being victims in their younger years of suffering sexual abuse and violence, do you give them a free pass for this ?
