I don't think putting it to fans votes is always necessarily a good idea. The kits also don't always looks as good as what the design images may suggest.
Errea seem pretty good at providing freedom in design of the shirts. I wonder how much it would cost to bring in a professional to design the kits for a season, and more importantly how much more successful the sales of that kit would be?! Depending on the cost it might be a reasonable experiment one season.

It needs people who know what they’re talking about to come up with the ideas. The year fans designed and voted for the kits produced excellent choices. The two part voting system also ensured that the choices were all going to be popular.
It’s not hard to get right, it’s easy to get wrong.

It's not needed. There are enough good ideas expressed on here and out amongst all other kits, as well as Errea's own designers, to make such an extra expense unnecessary.

I'm sure there's a good reason why Luton need three kits. Mind you, all three are really good efforts. Umbro on top form again.
Really like the black kit. Another example of how we could adapt three colours in a different way than we usually do. Swap the two colours around and give it white shorts and blue/black socks and you've got a decent Dale home kit there.
If I hadn't seen such riches, I could live with being poor

I think this is the Errea design that would suit our colours. It is probably a template but would probably work.
Swap Red for Blue, White for Black & Black for White.
Those Barnsley shirts are really dull. Reminds me of our shite blue shirt with the black and white stripe down the side. Dull.
I like the Hummell shirts with the trademark chevrons on the sleeves. The Errea shirts with the logo on the sleeves looks like something you’d pick up from Sports Direct.

Much prefer the Bristol Rovers kit to the WBA one - as someone else put looks like a barcode.
The usual mix of the good the bad and the ugly - Barnsley's though is on a new level of horrendous.
It’s meant to be a barcode as it was when originally released in the early 90s. If we are in blue and black stripes, Bristol Rovers will need a third kit. Not that it’s stopped them before and we’ve TWICE worn an away kit when playing them at Spotland.

Very Sampdoria. Quite like that.
Just seen this post. Whitby have been incorporating the ‘Sampdoria’ look into their kit right back to the 90s. Picked up last season’s Errea version when they were doing a fundraiser selling off players’ shirts for £20.

And one of theirs when playing them at the Memorial!
I was about to say that those Barrow ones are definitely my least favourite so far but then I remember that Spurs are about to release this as one of a rumoured 4 (FOUR) outfield kits:

That’s a decent effort by Nike. Unique too.
The pattern in the material is like our Super League away shirt 93/94 (and the white third top that became the shirt the season after until Christmas 1994.)

Definitely more 'unique' than the last couple of efforts but a bit too much going on for me, would certainly prefer it without those bands on the shoulders for a start.
