Fleetwood took impersonating their manager to new levels tonight. Premiership dive for their pen Awful tackle and red card for Wycombe’s pen Not quite good enough performance Second player sent off for abusing the ref I’m sure he will be very philosophical about it all.

It should be all over but stranger things have happened, Northampton turned over a 2 goal deficit at Cheltenham in the League 2 semi and I might have a couple of quid on Fleetwood if the odds are generous enough.

And let's not forget the wonderful time that Forest won at Yeovil 0-2 only to lose the second leg 2-5

The best one I can remember was when Leeds won 2-0 at Bruges in the Cup Winners Cup semi final first leg,1970ish. Don Revie picked ten reserves for the second leg with Paul Madeley the only first team regular. Bruges won 4-0,it couldn`t have happened to a more deserving side than Leeds,on a par with Gary Sprake throwing the ball into his own net at Anfield one wet afternoon when the ball stuck to his muddy glove and rolled behind him. The Kop were singing,"Give us a goal, give us a goal,Gary Sprake,Gary Sprake". We all hated Leeds then,so it was good banter.

I've had some great memories of visiting Liverpool in the past what with my ex having relatives there plus going to Liverpool FC with Notts who had a bit of a reputation back in the 80's but always seemed ok with us,maybe they didn't see us as a threat like other clubs,I can remember going to Anfield on a cold Tuesday night.when it was pissing it down and losing heavily and the few hundred Notts fans that had turned up sang to the thousands of reds all around "What's it like to see a crowd, what's it like to see a crowd!" I doubt that I will ever see Notts play top flight football again so I feel sorry.for the young fans that slip through the Forest net and follow Notts [Post edited 4 Jul 2020 14:31]

id be interested to know where it did come from..cant be from inside the ground.. so if thrown from outside it indicates an absolute moron has gone to ground with flare during game in which Fwood are getting thumped and chucked it in..would have never happened in the 70s..it would have been a loo roll!!!!!

Think the Liverpool DJ played the Des O'Conner song Careless Hands, after that slip.

League One play-offs on 09:16 - Jul 7 with 2109 views | aleanddale | Oxford or Wycombe will be heading straight back down! Oxford more of a chance i suppose I am just waiting for either side to go into admin if they don't make the holy grail for lower league clubs and that's the promised land of the championship. Big lad Akenfenwa made a difference when he came on Wycombe scored at the perfect time at the start of the second half after his introduction. What a handful that lad is.
