Warnock 20:08 - Mar 29 with 3662 viewsplasjack

Seeing as bluey is lurking in the background, what is your opinion of the Sun newspaper of the close relationship between Warnock and Mackay.

Claims an anonymous source saying there was a close friendship yet in all the years, there have been a whopping 3 deals involving both, one of which was Sala.

In all media stories, the key is who fed that info to the journo - you can always work that out by the tone of the "article".

In short a nothing story really.

They worked on a free deal for Bamba and a free deal for Joey Barton plus Cardiff's meant to be record signing for Sala. They have been working together since 2011 but probably earlier. It isnt really a surprise if they are friends. Mckay was friendly with other managers of that era as well.

Bluey you have previously claimed the flight was always planned at night. Look at this it shows you are wrong again.

Flight plans seen by BBC Wales indicate the flight scheduled to take Argentine player Sala for his first training session with Cardiff City had been due to leave Nantes airport at 09:00 local time on 21 January.
But the flight was postponed until 19:00, at the request of Sala, to allow him to spend the day saying goodbye to his Nantes teammates.

A pilots forum contained detailed info to the contrary.

Even if the flight was delayed, Ibbotson was not legally allowed to fly at night. The ultimate responsibility for Sala's death dies on him.

The first sensible thing you have said over this. Shame your club doesnt do the same and accept the fault lied with the pilot instead of trying to blame Mckay and Nantes. Now you have finally accepted where the blame lies maybe it is time for you lot to pay up Nantes.
There is no way either of these could have predicted what happened and as is clear your lot went on planes paid for and organised by Mckay so it is totally wrong to try and blame them for the pilots error or mechanical failure. What could have been predicted is that your club agreed a contract that broke Premier league rules. You simply shouldnt have agreed the signing on bonus in 1 go. The fault that the Premier league rejected the contract lies solely with your incompetent or desperate officials.

Here he goes...

McKay acted on behalf of Nantes. McKay arranged the flight through another pilot - you can complain all you like but McKay wanted to wash his hands of any responsibility. Responsible agents would want to know the full details, check things out.

Again, you know nothing of the nuances of the case. Both clubs have made their representations to FIFA on the matter.
