Montero's Back 14:25 - Jul 17 with 13536 views | TheKirkyLife | Apparently he's fit as well. Not trying to be funny but Montero for half a season would rip the Championship to shreds, worth keeping?

Love him when he's on form. Absolutely destroys full backs. Unfortunately he's so fragile.

I don't know, if we get a big lump in the box and a poacher playing off then Montero's dink little crosses would come off every now and again. He's got more reliable end product than most of our established wingers have shown. In theory Potter's got access to a lot of pace now with Narsingh, Montero, Asoro and James out wide. Routledge and Dyer as emergency backups.
Montero's Back on 15:40 - Jul 17 with 7130 views | Swan91 | Seems like GP is looking for pace in the squad as the main thing... so he would be perfect for him...

Frustrating to see a player decline so much. Remember his first season - stats show a goal and 7 assists in 20 or so games and remember three matches against Chelsea, Arsenal and Newcastle when he was incredible. He's done nothing since and some shameful behaviour. Slim hope is Chamionship RB are slower, he links well with Olsson and he grows some balls as he's now playing for his career. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Montero's Back on 15:51 - Jul 17 with 7086 views | exiledinenglandjack | Similar kind of player to adama traore why I got 5 goals and 10 assists last year. Will have to be rotated as he won’t be able to play 46 games but think he’ll do well here next year
Montero's Back on 15:51 - Jul 17 with 7083 views | airedale | Be interesting to see Montero on one side and the other whippet Asoro on the other. Only problem would be everyone else gets left behind.

I miss having those fast wingers pacing down the wing... They could also have it like: Narsingh-----------------Monterro ----------Asoro-----Mcburnie if Asoro plays like second striker behind Mcburnie... he would be fast enough to make it to the end. And then could also help mcburnie as striker.. don't think Mcburnie is good as a lone striker so having a fast secondary striker would be good for us.
Montero's Back on 16:12 - Jul 17 with 6970 views | Badlands | I'm afraid one bump and his season will be over. Only one full game last season and only fit for any length of time when back home in Emelec. In the games he did play he averaged 36 minutes a game. Cut lose imo.

Also interesting to see how Jordi does (the new young LB) from the same country as Monterro... apparently even spoke to monterro before signing where montero suggested he should join. He also has a lot of pace: Imagine it would be easy for them to have good teamwork on the wings if they play together(language and just being comfortable) so maybe the mix of teamwork and understanding by them added with their pace... could make them a big threat on the left.

Montero's Back on 17:37 - Jul 17 with 6517 views | jack247 | Aside from a few games in his first season when he was genuinely sensational, he has consistently caused the full back behind him more problems than the one he’s running at. He’d be a hell of a player if he had a football brain, but he just doesn’t. Still, I like him as an impact sub and if Potter wants him back it at least points to a more exciting brand of football.

Montero's Back on 18:04 - Jul 17 with 6400 views | Flashberryjack | A fit and focused Montero would be fantstic. But I fear a few "welcome to the championship" tackles and he'll be on the treatment table more than than he's on his missus.
