Buy Cr4p Expect Cra4p 19:01 - Sep 23 with 12163 views | Kinsey | I'm just gonna say it. We bought cr4p, so what are we expecting? In my opinion, we made the worst decisions of the transfer market. Who in Gods earth thought Bony was a good idea??? It's sickening to think the amount us fans pay every year just to line the pockets of this w4nk3rs. What did you expect from our absolutely ridiculous sales/purchases this summer. Pathetic! [Post edited 23 Sep 2017 19:02]

Buy Cr4p Expect Cra4p on 20:18 - Sep 23 by Kinsey | I just can't see it getting better with the shower of sh1t we have. I'm a firm believer in players who suit certain clubs. Siggy for example. He suited us, we suited him, he's.never gonna be a Chelsea star, he knows it, we know it. Same with Ash. But we gelled! We've let them go. We are worse off, so are they. We've bought crap. I mean a Clucas?! Who thought that was a good idea. Bony. Like the guy but come on!! I'm hitting the wine! |

Buy Cr4p Expect Cra4p on 08:07 - Sep 24 by jack247 | The players we brought in are fine. They aren't being used well at all. Bony - needs players running off him a la Dyer, Routledge, Sigurdsson. If all we've got is Ayew, they are going to get outnumbered. If we are playing long balls to him, they have to be to his chest, or feet if he is in enough space. There's no point aiming for his head if he is isolated. He still isn't sharp, which is a worry. Clucas - 'no better than Cork' of course he isn't when he is playing Corks role. He is box to box or an attack minded left sided player. If Hull signed Cork and played him in that role they'd be saying he's no Clucas. He is being asked to play a holding role because he is a tidy footballer. It just doesn't suit him. Mesa - follows the ball about making himself available, not as much as Leon does it, but in a a similar way. Always has his head up looking to start an attack when he is in possession, if nothing is on, he asks why not (by shrugging his arms out) and drives forward himself, or reluctantly plays an easy ball that doesn't get us anywhere. I think PC would rather a player who sticks rigidly to his position, although most of us disagree. Sanches - similar to Mesa in that he is a bit maverick, wants to try to make things happen, even if there is a risk we could get turned over. Always looking to beat a man or play a little give and go, gets frustrated when there is nothing on. I think Clement (understandably) wants a bit of height in midfield too. Carroll looks nailed on at the moment, which makes it difficult for him to accommodate Mesa and Sanches together. Shame, as I think they could form an exciting partnership given a bit of freedom. |
I like your positive assessment of players strengths and hope you're proven right and they step up. In worried PC seems little more than a defensive coach and Makelelle is better. The players must take more responsibility on the field. So far Clucas has just been poor / AWOL. Bony, Sanches and Mesa need game time but reflects IMO shambles of transfer window when we prioritised sales before new buys and time for pre-season. I'd hoped our depth in midfield may compensate for no depth in defense or attack, but lack of any pace and drive and reluctance to show any attacking intent from MF is huge problem. My guess is PC has next 4 games to sort it.

Buy Cr4p Expect Cra4p on 20:29 - Sep 23 by Wingstandwood | The Bony signing IMO was nothing more than a hoodwinkers 'hearts and minds' initiative. All about exploiting Bony’s past SCFC reputation and fans favourite label to distract attention away from HJ, sell-outs, Yanks and Van Zweden hangers on still leeching away coupled with a cr@p transfer window. Not one has ever never put a single non-returnable Penny of their own money into the club let alone a Pound during SCFC's PL tenure! A deliberate ploy to lessen any supporter anger, disquiet, revolt and disappointment from the board’s dereliction of duty to make a genuine attempt to better the squad. The squad is weaker than last season. Gylfi and Llorente gone and no signing(s) of wingers? Utter sh*te transfer window to many a supporter I would guess. |
We sold Llorente for £12 million and bought a Bony with two years of nothing behind him for the same price. In what universe does that set of transactions make sense? I think we only bought him because he was going to sue us if he didn't, therefore bringing into sharp focus some of the dodgy dealing going on behind the scenes here.

Llorente was going for nothing at the end of the season. £12m was a no brainer. Whether Bony was the right replacement is up for debate. Personally I think he will be great for us, butthere is an argument there. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Buy Cr4p Expect Cra4p on 15:08 - Sep 24 with 1069 views | Yossarian | The ineptitude of the 'scouting' system and loss of collective identity is not an overnight phenomenon. We can blame some of the players all we want- I'm sure they try hard, but the truth is that some aren't and never have been good enough, and some might have been good enough but can't get to that level any longer. I think the understandable anger at this slow slide into mediocrity should be directed where the true blame lies- with Huw Jenkins and the Board. After all, they are ultimately responsible for the fortunes of the club. Chanting for Leon isn't going to do much. I wonder what's next?

Spot on hence I found it sad the crowd were getting at the team so early on. I suspect the complaints were more about the style than the individual. The blame lies with Jenkins and his team though. There is a chance the new players will settle in and we will make a decent fist of it. Even if this happens Jenkins would still be to blame for the lateness of his dealings leaving Clem to experiment and sort things out in real time. I have to say it is not looking good though and free flowing football seems a very long way off. If Clem said he was happy with squad to please his bosses than he is culpable as well. I recall Frankie doing the same but I genuinely thought he was of the opinion he could do something with the group.......before the incompetent ditherer struck again.

Mate, I've seen more in Bony in the second half than I did in Llorente in the first 4 months!! When Bony "came good" if you all remember it was in that famous Stoke game. What we noticed in that game when he was getting to his sharpest was him leaping high and winning all aerial battles. The quintessential rising like the salmon he was. Yesterday, due to trying to last the game out he didn't commit himself as much and didn't so many of the battles he will when he's up to speed. Do you remember in the second half when the ball was played up to him just inside our half on the touchline? He held 2 off and won the throw in for us. This side of his game will get so much better, as well know, and be instrumental for us. Llorente was pathetic at doing that. And in the box, Tammy and Bony will be deadly, They are both natural goalscorers and with Bony's physicality and Tammy's incredible instinct they will get goals, no question about it. The way Bony attacked the superb cross from Carroll, he nearly killed their CH and Tammy was denied an open goal with a brilliant defensive block. Our goal, our 3 front options all involved, I am genuinely excited and a whole lot more than watching the insipid wardrobe of last season. And this is the first time they've played together. Seriously, what do people expect? For this partnership to get worse the more games they play?? Llorente isn't a patch on Bony's all round game - but give him a little more time. It aint rocket science.

It's in the post! Although the length of time this court action has been in the offing, the complete reluctance to make any effort in getting Llorette to stay and the length of time the Bony rumour has been doing the rounds does make me maybe falsely think that Will was trying to sue us. Also isn't he still on his Manchester City wages? Unusual when you think how sh*t he's been for two years....

Yep I agree with that Mon and I agree it made a difference by forcing PC's hand. Took him ages to change things though. He had Tammy an Sanches warming up for the whole of the second quarter before a half time change. I seem to recall Clement saying something like 'when you hear home fans booing you have to up your game'. I hope he was talking about himself as otherwise it suggests a streak of arrogance and stubbornness. That would be worrying. Personally I hope it's the trials and tribulations of a rookie manager. Jenkins is still to blame for great whole clustereff though.....

For the first time yesterday in his press conference I think Clement bullshitted us. He admitted to it partly being his fault. Very magnanimous. But didn't go anywhere like the lengths he should have, even trying to deflect blame away from him by focussing on gifted goals. He didnt pull the wool over anyones eyes and he needs, still, to publicly address the shambles of a team selection. Clement, we are waiting and we want assurances we won't see that crap again!

That's the problem Swans team have barely got a goal in them, you expect teams strikers to have goals in them and you would hope for one or two midfielders to have goals in them but Swans are looking very lightweight in the goal scoring and creating midfield department.

When this team gels (and I think that's just a case of picking the right line up and allowing them more freedom to express themselves), I'd expect Tammy and Bony to be our top scorers. I doubt they will get as many as Siggy and Llorente did last season, but I do expect the goals to be a lot more evenly spread out and for us to score more as a team. I know it doesn't look like that at the moment, but honestly believe that's the shackles they are playing under more than lack of goal scoring ability.
