Ashley Williams a liability? 23:01 - Sep 17 with 8254 viewsBrynCartwright

I was watching the Man U v Everton game today with my old Dad and was a bit bored towards the end to be honest as it was a bit of a shambles and dull as feck.

I mentioned that we hadn't as yet had the customary massive cock up per game that Ashley Williams is so good at.

Lo and behold, literally 10 seconds later, Ash clears out to directly to a Man U player and 5 seconds later Mkhitaryan slots one.

We are so much better off without that liability.

Williams is way past his best but he's one of the greatest players ever to play for Swansea City and would walk into our best ever eleven.

He'd captain the worst ever Barnet eleven...

Yes...Ash will always be remembered as a huge player for SCFC...a big reason why we are in the Premiership in the first place.

Not by f*ckwits though. Also, rumour has it he's still rather huge - in a 'who's been eating all the pies' way.

We had his best years and should be grateful. Makes a nonsense of those who said we should not have sold him for a very good fee.

Those who didn't realise that our defensive shambles was largely down to coaching and whined like babies that we hadn't replaced him all season?

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

He was a fantastic player and we sold him precisely at the right time.

No hard feelings towards Ash at all. Club legend that moved on for a final big payday, and is playing out his worse twilight years somewhere else. I'm fine with that.

That and both Masson and FF have improved massively over the last 8 or 9 months. Let's be honest, we did miss Ash at the beginning. But the players we have now, have grown to fill the gap.

Trundle could still do a job..
