May refuses to meet victims 22:17 - Jun 15 with 3306 viewseasthertsr

What sort of leader refuses to meet and sympathise with the victims?. I am genuinely disgusted that our Prime Minister couldn't manage to meet the people who have suffered in such an appalling way and try to help them. Not point scoring but by heavens what should a proper leader do in such a situation?

Sadiq Khan got a pretty rough ride for no reason at all so I think Mrs May would have been far more unpopular. Feeling are running high and that's an understatement.

That is the least she could have done. The absolute least.

I was brought up to believe that you should lead by example. That concept seems to have been totally lost in our society. That's not a pop at May personally but it's a grim old world at the minute.

Agreed. I think a lot of people have been just stunned by what she did, or didn't do, today.

It's not "politicising" anything to expect the leader of the country to be able to say as one human being to another, "I'm sorry you lost your home."

What sort of people have we become that we don't even demand that basic humanity anymore?
