Match Thread 11:48 - Aug 17 with 29283 views | PinnerPaul | Obviously everyone is out enjoying the sunshine/Olympics so I'll start this one off. I'm going for a 1-0 (Not very outrageous prediction) win, BFG to score.

Match Thread on 12:07 - Aug 17 with 8304 views | queensparker | Starting the season with three straight wins would be simply too much, so I'll go with 2-0 to Barnsley and a flat performance to bring us all back down to earth a bit.

Match Thread on 12:42 - Aug 17 with 8230 views | eghamranger | 1-1. Chery to get us a point. Barnsley still got a bit of momentum after the Wembley win. Then get set for sat at HQ. Would love "the toon" to lose again tonight
Match Thread on 12:48 - Aug 17 with 8219 views | RANGERS4EVER | Hopefully the two wins don't get fans too overexcited. We are away, Barnsley are a decent team, and we have played three games in a week. Im going for a draw but wouldn't be too surprised if we lost

Match Thread on 13:21 - Aug 17 with 8122 views | Discodroids | as a kid i always remember the chubby midfielder Ian Banks (who made spurs Gary Brooke look like Brett Anderson), scoring 30 yard screamers on the 'big match' every week in the second division for barnsley in the very early eighties. Good side they had then with Ronnie Glavin and trevor Aylott . its Strange the useless shite that floats around in my head. anyway , i'll be happy with a solid draw an 4 pts from 7 on our two away games in four days. Think it will be our toughest game so far. urrrrs

Match Thread on 13:39 - Aug 17 with 8072 views | ElHoop | We could get a draw here and still have one of our best seasons. 1975/76 second away game we drew at Wolves 2-2 1982/83 we drew second away game 1-1 at Fulham 2010/11 we drew second away game 2-2 at Derby I'd be delighted with a draw tonight.

Match Thread on 13:51 - Aug 17 with 8025 views | Mick_S | Default QPR up next Their current record stands at 2 games played, 2 wins, 5 goals scored and none conceded. Head to head we've lost 6 from the last 6. Over those 6 games we've conceded 16 goals. Scoring just 4. They're most definitely a bogie side for us. Surely their can only be one winner? 3-1 Super Reds Bradshaw to get off the mark. Come on you reds!

"1975/76 second away game we drew at Wolves 2-2" One of the games that cost us the title that season

Match Thread on 14:11 - Aug 17 with 7959 views | paulparker | I have a horrible feeling it will be 1-0 to Barnsley with them scoring in the 80th minute if you offered me a boring 0-0 with no injury problems id take it
| And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

Might be a lucky ground but the only time I went there we got absolutely stuffed - back end of the Cup Final season when we needed to win to have any chance of promotion. We were buried.

Match Thread on 16:48 - Aug 17 with 7569 views | CFW | Think the performance is perhaps more important than the result. Last season every match filled me with dread - another bore draw or a loss from a winning position and frankly I was bored with the whole thing. This season so far has been like a breath of fresh air - we have a much better squad of players (albeit a bit thin but we know that), we have more legs in the midfield, we have a much better looking defence and our forward players have much improved. Obviously it is not possible to win every game and we will have bad patches, injury's to key players etc but if we can play as a unit, give it our best then I am happy. This will be a tough match but so was Cardiff away ( who had not lost at home for quite some time) - so I am going for a 1-2 win in a tight match.
