Brilliant Actor. First saw him in The Take and tried to watch everything since

Well worth watching The Take if you've not seen it.

He's done some bad ones though. Child 44 , Lawless and Warrior were average films but he was the best thing in all of them.

This means War was a shocker....... don't even bother!

Pesky Blinders is a must for anyone whose not seen it

I thought Warrior was fantastic

I think he has talent but sadly now reminds me of Al Pacino in that he either shouts, screams or mumbles in everything he does.

He needs to break out of his typecasting badly.

I don’t see what the fuss is about he mumbles in all of his films and the one he portrays both Krays was like a comedy it was that bad
He isn’t in the same league as di caprio or Denzil Washington

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

I think he's great, but that Krays film was an atrocity. His over the top style with that awful, awful script was a hilarious combination. I kept laughing when I don't think I was supposed to be

I actually thought it was a comedy until my missus told me at the end it wasn’t

Is he typecast?

His last roles have been Venom, Peaky Blinders, Dunkirk, The Revenant, Legend, Mad Max, Child 44 and Locke. That's a pretty eclectic list!

I have't seen all of them to be fair, but he just seems to play the same incoherent ill-defined character a bit too often, I think.

Allegedly has a reputation for being uncompromising on set with other fellow actors.

Thus if true could be considered to be not really a team player. It's all about him, as it is with most actors, but in addition at the expense of everyone else's approach which most actors would consider not very appropriate behaviour....allegedly.

Good in Bronson. He is also playing both Kray Twins.
Has the ability to change his physical appearance depending on the part.
Although I haven't seen him queuing up for a hit and miss in Ellerslie..

Both films are superb as was he but I could do without seeing his todger in Bronson. But he surpassed both in Peaky Blinders.

No mention of Bronson? Thought he was (stereotypically) quite good in his portrayal.

Forgot about Taboo - he did Locke as a favour to Steven Knight to get him to direct the show for him

I bloody loved Taboo. Locke was very clever. He was decent in Inception, but way too hammy in Peaky Blinders (IMHO). He likes Rugby apparently. And his dad's name is Chips.

I thought Taboo was brilliant. Was hoping for a second season based in the US but it never happened.

I’m going to have to get into this newfangled ‘talkies medium’ one of these days, I’ve no idea who this Hardy character is, nor heard of most of what he’s appeared in!
