I may be abused for these sentiments, but i reckon a game or two without austin could help us. Reason being, that he offers no threat in behind due to his lack of pace. Its all well and good having a finisher up there, but if you have nobody to cross it, he is going to be less effective.
I would like to see Vargas or Zarate up front to try and stretch the defense like Remy used to do . Then use Tarrabt to play the through balls.

Agreed. whether Charlie is injured or not, he needs a rest. zarate looked lively today.... moved the ball quickly and his attitude was good. Phillips had a decent game but has no right to be blowing through his arrrrse after 70 mins...

another reason we deserve to go down why oh fcuking why did we not sign a striker in the summer even if by some miracle we kept Remy we still would have needed another striker for cover , to have Austin & Zamora as your front 2 for the whole season is fcuking madness and asking for trouble
And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

could have got the yak on a free instead of reading ,would have been a cheap option and given us someone who is strong and knows who to score a goal
club has been run shockingly so many weak spots
right back fit midfield enforcer wingers left and right targetman up front
Lost our most reliable defender and goalscorer on the same day............... looks like meltdown in progress.
I thought Chris Ramsey's post-match press conference was good though. Vargas and Zarate start up front on Tuesday with a midfield of Fer, Barton, Henry & AT. Defence of Isla and some others chosen by drawing straws........ what about the Furlong lad, bung him in!
