That season we lost Manager,Assist Manager,GK Coach,Head Physio, Chief scout and top 2 goal scorers all to Wigan. Not to mention the targets he spent time scouting for Swansea were then conveniantly targeted by Wigan with 2?(McCarthy and possibly McCarther both signing for Wigan)

I think it was decided at management level that it would be mildly amusing if he were stuck on the non-football board.

Judas slates defensive Swans... on 22:27 - Nov 2 by swancity | Your first sentence is too laughable for words so I will reply in a few weeks when the laughter stops As for Chester City since when is League Two non league football. God your worse than winston boogie woogie for making things up to suit an argument. |
Yeah it was hilarious watching us try and get points with half the youth team, the likes of kerry morgan having to step up etc, etc. Im sure pratley was laughing as well, being urged by bobby to play while injured knowing he wouldnt be around the following season with one of our key players having to have an operation to correct it. Left us in one hell of a mess plain and simple. As for chester not beimg in the conference at the time that is true but ots where bobby would have been playing his footy as i think they were relegated the following season and thats what i was referimg to. All water umder the bridge now but lets look at thimgs in equal measure , he did good things for us but he also put the whole club in turmoil and didnt give flying fook even though we took him off the scrap heap. First anyone heard about how special wigan was to him was when he signed his contract up there , spent all his time here pulling onnthe heart strings until the first offer was on the table then he left promptly. I domt be grudge himmhis move but the way he went about it was slimey as fook and i for one will never forget that . Rodgers left on decent terms and looked after the club by signing a contract even nthough he knew he was going to move on the difference was massive between both men. Sousa will mever really get any credit for that season but in my opinion i class that year as probably one ofmthe most important times in our recent history, how he managed to keep the momentum going that season i'll never know . If we had regressed that year i feel it would have meant a few more years in the championship amd the wheels may well habe fallen off in that time. Bobby is a good coach but a dispicable man IMO.

I suppose on reflection the likes of pratley and dorus probably thought their positions in a swans premier league team would be up for scrutiny and an upgrade. Cant blame them for then taking a much higher wedge elsewhere . Think we lost alot of players at the right time in all honesty, even trundle going when he did turned out to be a blessing . It saved the club alot of difficult decisions in hindsight!

I'd forgotten about Wigwam unveiling a chair as their new manager. The chair has been quoted as saying " I LOOOOVE this clooob and it's close to my heeaaaart." The chair proved its loyalty when Martinez and his entourage jumped ship soonest when Wigwam were relegated by refusing to go with him

couldn't agree more. In the past the 'big clubs' were patronising in their 'love the football Swansea play' type comments after we'd lost. Not any more. We're beginning to be seen as a genuine threat hence the more 'anti' comments. The final table this year could be very interesting. Other than Chelsea and Man City, the other spots are wide open and there is no reason why we can't be one of the teams forcing ourselves in and around the top 8 or so. For the first season since we've been up, I no longer look at games against the likes of Everton and Spurs as a somewhat forgone conclusion.

Please zip up your knob and step away from your 2014 Bobby calendar. He is proving himself to be more of a melt with every interview he gives. Face facts, fanboy - his tactics and his team couldn't break down 10 men, without a shot on goal for the majority for the game And stop the "we wouldn't be where we are without him" argument. Tiresome.

Judas slates defensive Swans... on 14:20 - Nov 3 with 1390 views | _ | The good and the bad comments from Monk: The Very Good: And Monk was further irritated by Martinez's take on Swansea's determined effort on Saturday. "I just think what Roberto said was born out of frustration at his own team's performance and the fact they were unable to break us down or have a meaningful shot on our goal," said the Swansea boss. The Ok, still Good: "I'm disappointed because I think Roberto's deflecting attention from his own team by blaming the opposition. "Everton didn't have a shot on target in the second half. The Bad: "If it was my team who had 25 minutes to break down 10 men and we didn't have a shot on target, I would have been more disappointed with myself as a manager because I didn't give my team the knowledge to break the other team down or even have a shot on target." Just my opinion of course but he'd made his point and then just went too far with the old look at me thing again.

I tend to agree with this also. Garry, just keep an even keel mun! Far better managers than Martinez have failed to break 10 men, just what is all this knowledge anyway ? He needs to be a bit careful, setting himself up for a fall is our esteemed leader and font of all football knowledge! Sometimes less is more .

Judas slates defensive Swans... on 17:11 - Nov 3 with 1285 views | monmouth | Certainly a wind up I would say. Or he's a self obsessed control freak. I hope the former! I mean, if professional players earning bucketloads per week couldn't suss out how to play against ten men for 35 minutes, and didn't really manage a shot at goal, I'd be a very worried man about the competence of the multi million pound team I'd assembled. Eh, Roberto? Garry should take advice from Brian Clough, 'I pick the right team with the right players in the right place. They're professionals, they should bloody well know what to do on the pitch and how to pass the bloody football'. All this 'philosophy' bollux that's crept into things would make people like Clough and Shankly turn in the soil. Who the hell do they think they are, Descartes? I blame Plato Rodgers.
