Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp is hoping to bring in three new signings before the transfer window closes in a fortnight's time.
"We're looking to get one or two midfielders in and maybe a front man as well, because we need a bit of cover there. We'll probably use the loan system again. Maybe we'll buy one and loan a couple" - Harry Redknapp (allegedly).

So if Harry is being honest, Holtby and Vargas on loan and Fer for £8m would seem likely moves?
I know nothing about Vargas, the other 2 could be smart signings for us.
Having 3 out of Barton, Mutch, Faurlin, Fer, Holtby, Hoilett and Phillips makes us look very strong in midfield.
Having 2 out of Remy, Austin, Zamora and Vargas would make us stronger, but maybe lacking a little, although we could re-evaluate in Jan or bring in another loan if 1 gets injured or Bobby looks out of his depth. Interestingly, Taarabt may end up with us and doing fck all until Jan at the earliest. If he was as clever with his brain as he is with his feet, he'd be dangerous. | | | |

I don't see where Holtby is available, he played for Spurs at the weekend and has had a solid pre-season. Redknapp was on about getting midfielders for the deeper CM positions (Barton, Ale, Henry). We already have Mutch, Hoilett, Phillips that can play behind the striker and I fully expect Niko to be here this week.
He obviously wants options, not just for a stromger bench but in case he wants to play 1 up top and 4 CMs. Personally I would like us to sign Jack Cork, Fer and a striker that would be happy as back up. The rest I think we can adequately cover with what we have. | |
