Yeah I struggled at right back probably the one position we've always had a decent player. Evans was there for so long and hardly missed a game. I think Brown actually played more games at RM than RB he always tried hard and could play but was just to small. As for wingers I did think of Durkan maybe McConville more recently and Bertos was terrible in his second season but for every winger I thought of I could think of a striker that was ten times worse haha.

Anyone think of a bad right back?

No loan players allwoed its too easy haha or if they were loanees they had to have played a god few times

Tbf brown wasn't bad it was just that he was 3ft 2 and at the time league 2 teams tended to play more direct

Simon Copeland was far and away our worst right-back for those that remember him.

Got to be honourable mentions also for John Pender, Andy Morris and plenty of others from the Barrow era. Speaking of which surely Mark Bailey would have to be captain.

Reminds me of EGP days, oh what fodder we had available. Wouldn't like to write it this season however!

I presume that's Andy Farrell and not Peter ?? Any worst XI Dale side should certainly have Alan Young, Richard Sharpe, Pim Balkestein, Jason Anders and Les Strong in there.

Yep. I remember one of his few supporters arguing that as he scored the odd goal, Farrell was well worth his place in Barrow's team of defenders.
