Newcastle Winger Spotted At Southampton Airport

Things had gone a little bit quiet on the Ryan Fraser front, but Saints fans will be gladdened to hear that the Wee Man was spotted at Southampton airport at the weekend prompting speculation that he is on the brink of a return to St Mary's

Newcastleworld up in the North East have picked up on a tweet from a Saints fan who bumped into Ryan Fraser at Southampton airport on Sunday.

The quote Southampton supporter Mitchell King from his X account as saying

"Must stress this was in departures with a plane back to Newcastle which I’m assuming he was on. He said to my dad when he saw him that he loved it here last season, and it’s here or no where. Make of that what you will.

"Update: Wee Man’s plane is leaving the airport. Am praying he’s been on the South Coast today finalising the move, but who knows.”

Russell Martin said a few weeks back about the situation.

"I think we're all hopeful that at some point that will happen but he's contracted to Newcastle, I think he would love to come back and we would love to keep him. Everyone wants him."

So let's hope that the Wee Man has been back down here to finalise his move, although I would suspect that Newcastle will more than likely not sanction the deal until after they host us on Saturday, rather than let him play in that game and put in a blinding performance to give Saints the points.
