Southampton U21's To Kick Off The Season At AFC Totton On Saturday

The first game of the season for Southampton FC will not be the first team, but a run out for the U21 side at the Snows Stadium to take on AFC Totton, with the likes of Tyler Dibling, Dom Ballard & Sam Amo- Ameyaw looking to impress Russell Martin.

Saints fans will get a chance to run their eye over some of the promising youngsters on the fringe of the first team when the U21 side travel to Totton to take on the Stags at the Snows Stadium.

This is a home game for both teams with the U21's playing a large chunk of their games at the Snows Stadium and it is likely that the crowd will see a Saints side with a fair few names that they recognise from the first team squad, the likes of Dom Ballard, Tyler Dibling, Sam Amo-Ameyaw, Jayden Meghoma & Diamond Edwards all making first team appearances in the past couple of years.

They could also be joined by a first team squad member or two, the likes of Juan Larios who is returning to the squad after over a year out through injury could well feature, as could those that have returned to the club for pre season training after spending last year out on loan, but will more than likely not be part of Russell Martin's first team squad going forward, that could see Armando Bella-Kotchap & Tall Paul Onuachu get a run out.

The game kicks off at 3pm on Saturday (13th) at the Snows Stadium, tickets can be purchased in advance online from AFC Totton
