Wembley And Southampton FC In Pictures Part 1
We start with our first Wembley visit in 1976 and take a look at some of our previous visits to both the old and new Wembley over the past 48 years, how many of them did you go to ? Leave your memories in the comments section below.
Our first ever visit was on May 1st 1976.
Our second trip was just a few months later in the Charity Shield against Liverpool, but just three years later we were back again for the League Cup final in March 1979.
On to 1991 and the ZDS Cup final defeat to Nottingham Forest.
This would be our last visit to the old stadium and it would be 19 years before we would return and this time to the new Wembley in 2010 for what would be a memorable day out for Southampton supporters when Carlisle United were defeated in the 2010 Johnstones Paint Trophy final.

Southampton Monitoring Another Championship ManagerDespite picking up their first Premier League point of the season at the fifth time of asking, Russell Martin still has a lot to prove as a top flight manager, so it is only natural that Saints should be looking at a list of successors to his job, should the time come.
