West Ham Looking To Hijack Bednarek Deal From Aston Villa

Jan Bednarek looked set to join Aston Villa, but now it seems the claret & blue from Birmingham face competition from the claret & blue from London, good news for Saints perhaps.

Jan Bednarek looks set to leave St Mary's in the next 48 hours, but will his destination be Aston Villa whom he looked certain to join in a proposed loan deal a day or so ago or will it be West Ham United who now seem interested in muscling out Villa with the lure of European Football albeit it in the Europa Conference League.

It is unclear yet whether the Hammers are intending on making it a permanent move or just a loan, the problem for Bednarek is that it would appear that neither are that interested in him as a first choice defender in anything other than the short term, Villa want him to cover new signing Diego Carlos who will now miss the rest of the season injured and West Ham as a replacement for Craig Dawson who wants to leave, but who would not have been first choice this season.
