Moussa Djenepo Target For Turkish Giants

Ralph Hasenhuttl has already said that he is looking to offload some of his underperforming stars in the summer transfer window, but his main problem will be offloading them on a permanent basis, loan signings could feature heavily for all clubs this summer.

Media reports in Turkey are suggesting that Moussa Djenepo is a target for Fenerbahce, but it is unlikely to be a permanent move due to his wages.

This will be a recurring theme for Saints and indeed many clubs in the Premier League who are unable to offload those deemed surplus to requirements due to the wages paid in the Premier League being out of reach of most other clubs be they in the Championship in England or indeed the top flights of other European countries.

That means it is usually only about saving money on wages as we have found over the past few years with the likes of Mario Lemina and Fraser Forster being unable to be sold permanently .

According to Turkish newspaper Posta (via Sport Witness), According to Turkish newspaper Posta (via Sport Witness), Fenerbahce are keen on bringing in the 22-year-old this summer, with manager Emre Belozoglu having reportedly asked the board to try and sign Djenepo.

Although the report suggests that a permanent move this summer would be unlikely due to Fenerbahce’s financial situation, an impressive loan spell could see them sign him on a permanent basis in the future, or increase the chances of another club paying a fee to prise him away from St Mary’s.

Djenepo has shown occasional flashes of brilliance in his time at Saints but has fallen behind in the pecking order to Nathan Tella and with Saints having a plethora of wide men, he is one who they might be willing to offers on.
