Mark Hughes has confirmed that he has only two injury doubts ahead of the visit of Premier League Champions Manchester City on Sunday.
Saints fans are sweating on the game against Manchester City and praying their won't be a freak set of results on Sunday, manager Mark Hughes though is sweating only on the fitness of two of his squad.
Mario Lemina missed the game at Swansea due to a hamstring injury and Jan Bednarek was forced off with a head injury sustained in a clash with his won keeper on Tuesday and both will be assessed ahead of the game.
Hughes said
"Mario we're still hopeful of getting back," Hughes explained. "But it's touch and go. It was a hamstring issue so you're never quite sure how quickly those resolve themselves. We'll have to wait on that one.
"Jan might miss out. Clearly, he had a bang to his head. He'll need checking nearer the time. Apart from that we'll have a clean bill of health."
Bednarek has an additional reason for wanting to play and end the season on a high, he has been included in the provisional Poland squad for this summers World Cup, after coming into the Saints team because of injury he has put in a series of solid displays for the side and would obviously love to continue that run on Sunday.
