Saints Duo Up For African Footballer Of The Year Award

As you have no doubt already guessed the duo in question are Sadio Mane and Victor Wanyama, but who are they up against ?

Sadio Mane & Victor Wanyama are among the nominees for African Footballer Of The Year awarded by the Confederation Of African Football, however they are far from certaintees with the initial list comprising of 37 players .

This number will be whittled down to 10 next month, then that will come down to 5 and finally 3 before the awards ceremony itself which will be scheduled for around the turn of the year.

Of the 37 initially nominated, 11 are English based, including Mane & Wanyama.
