Jason Pearce nets in 1-1 draw at Sandefjord.
Neil Warnock's desire to keep Ross McCormack at the club was further underlined when he gave the captains armband to the Scot for Leeds' trip to Norway.
Top scorer Rossco turned provider on 17 minutes, proving a corner for Jason Pearce to give United the lead. A moment no doubt savoured by thousands of Luscos members!
Leeds did not have to really defend until the dying stages of the first half. On 52 Kristian Klepaker pulled one back for the hosts.
Leeds could have gone back in front but efforts from youngsters Dominic Poleon and Zac Thompson were beaten away.
Leeds' 100% pre-season record slightly dented but we are still unbeaten and next stop is Preston.
Whether or not Ross McCormack retains the captains armband in sunny Lancashire remains to be seen? I have heard today on the grapevine that Warnock's top summer target is Craig Mackail-Smith and Warnock is eager to sign the Brighton striker for £2.2m or use McCormack and £1m to bring the ex Posh forward to Elland Road.
Like Snodgrass, I think the captaincy is merely a token gesture and McCormack will move on.
The deal has apparently been sanctioned by Leeds' new owners in waiting, who I believe have been releasing a trickle of cash to enable Warnock to sign players rather than wait for the takeover to be completed.
