A poll on the YEP website had Gordon Strachan as the fans choice at 11pm on Wednesday night, but the bookies-favourite Neil Warnock was pushing him close.
Strachan, a legend from his playing days with the club topped the poll with 40% late on Wednesday evening. He has something of a mixed-bag of fortune as a Manager, with success with Southampton and Celtic intermingled with a disasterous spell in charge of Middlesbrough and a largely forgettable stint at Coventry.
It is Neil Warnock who the bookies say will be next in at LS11 and 35% of Leeds fans were prepared to put aside old rivalries from his time with Sheffield United. His ability to get teams promoted is unquestionable despite him not being to everyones taste. However would such a strong personality like Warnock be the perfect "Yes Man" for Bates/Harvey?
Surprisingly Gus Poyet, who's odds seem to be shortening by the minute was not even quoted on the YEP poll, which one pundit cheekily remarked because it was already a done deal!
