Posh: "Can we have our ball back?"
Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson has suggested that he may recall David Ball from his loan spell at Dale.
Ball has been a massive success since arriving at the club, scoring three times in his four games for the club, but that form looks to have prompted a recall to his parent club Peterboro.
Ferguson was quoted by the BBC as saying: "I've let David Ball go out and get some football at a decent level and he's done very well. It might be a case of David coming back and Nicky Ajose going out. I've got to consider the players and I've got to keep them up to scratch, maybe the month away will have done David some good."
Worryingly for Dale, it would appear that a deal has been struck with Scunthorpe to allow Ajose to join them on loan, which would add credence to Ferguson's words.
Ball signed a three month loan spell at Spotland on August 31st, but that deal allowed a recall after one month meaning this weekend's game with Notts County could well be his final game in Dale colours.
