Now Is The Time To Get Behind Saints

With three home games to go Saints need your support.

On Saturday Saints face bristol Rovers in what is now a must win game after wasting the chance of three points at Rochdale, in recent weeks there has been a prevalent feeling that Saints are going to cruise to second spot, but Tuesday in Lancashire proved that games in hand only count if you take something from them.

Our defeat has opened up a chink of light for Huddersfield and Peterborough and will give them renewed hope in their battle to overtake us.

So the time has come for Saints to get all the help that they can from us the supporters, whilst Saints core support has been very good this season, the surprising thing is that unlike other seasons when we have always seen virtual full houses at some point in the league season, this season has seen very little variance in attendance, even the two biggest crowds, the 26k plus games against Brighton and Bournemouth included 3,200 away fans, meaning that there wasnt that much increase in home supporters from the average.

But now is the time to put things right and for some of those 50,000 who went to Wembley to get behind the team once more, whilst of course there are some who have valid reasons why they are unable to go to games at the moment, the fact is that there are probably around 20,000 Saints supporters who were at Wembley who have barely been to a game this season, in some cases perhaps havent even been to one.

Nigel Adkins has spoken time and time again about how great the supporters have been, he himself has asked for the fans to turn up and fill the ground and turn it into a place where visiting teams quiver, so this isnt another rant by me, its merely trying to re inforce Nigel's message.

That message is clear, your club needs you, you are the 12th man, help us get promotion !
