It’s the FA Cup. Play our strongest team and go for it. It’s that simple. If we lose let’s make sure we go down fighting and give it the best shot possible. Other views are available. |

Ok so as I suspected, no one stayed away purely as a direct consequence of any remarks that Luke had made. |

The concept of staying away because the manager has said something you don’t approve of is bizarre. That’s not what a fan would do is it. You might not enjoy the style of football and I know for example that some fans didn’t attend as much when Sousa was manager as the defensive minded football was insipid and lacked flair with goalmouth action almost non existent I think other factors against West Brom would and did influence the attendance as we have highlighted. But can anyone come forward and say that they stayed away SOLELY because of some misguided remarks from our rather inexperienced manager who is otherwise doing a fine job on balance? |

People making mountains out of molehills. That’s football fans for you I suppose. Some are worse than others. Onehunglow especially could do with a hobby like knitting or crocheting. |

Luke is doing a decent job. We are about where we’d expect or hope to be at the moment. Possibly a bit higher than where I predicted us to finish (13-16). But he has shown some inexperience with a couple of ill informed comments. It’s getting blown out of all proportion, in my view that is . |

1. Just after Xmas 2. On Sky Sports 3. Early kick off 4 Bad weather forecast 5. Bad performance at Portsmouth Was a decent attendance all things considered but you carry on making things up. |

I think you need to understand what constitutes a good win record percentage at Swansea If you look at our history only Martinez has managed to reach a 50% win record. That’s an outstanding record and our best ever. Toshack was around 40% and then the likes of Jan Molby had a win percentage of around 38% putting him in the top ten. As always you cannot merely look at stats in isolation as they only tell part of the story and can be massaged accordingly. But taking all factors into consideration there’s no doubt that Luke has a decent record. I maintain that a par round to use a golf analogy for us this season is a 13-16th place finish. It could go either way it seems and we are on a knife edge at the moment I’m not sure why there’s so much outrage. He’s a manager still finding his way. He’s got potential certainly and as with every other manager out there their priority is themselves and their families. First and foremost. Just like all of us then really. If he thinks that moving to WBA is good for him then so be it. |

Which is a decent, commendable record when you consider that we were in 18th place in the division when he was appointed. And a win in his next match makes it a 38% win ratio. Not too shabby when we consider where our club stands. He’s done quite well. Of course he could have handled things differently ( West Brom connection ) but he’s on a ( steepish )learning curve himself. There no loyalty in football any more, that’s if there ever was. |

It won’t happen unfortunately Norwich City will be his most likely next destination after he’s had a break |

Being as thick as two short planks is hardly conducive to a successful career in football management at this level. Without a plan A let alone a plan B he’s about as motivational and inspirational as a garden earth worm on Valium. Although I’m not sure if being “loaded” is relevant. Is it only people who aren’t loaded should be applying for these jobs? |

I think you’ll find that I didn’t say that. If you’ve ever come on as a sub you’ll appreciate how difficult it can be to get into the pace of a game and to make an impact isn’t easy. But not only has he done that he’s scored a winning goal. It’s a bit sad and says a lot that you preferred to mention at all that he was bundled off the ball. |

McBurnie? No thanks. Referred to ( wrongly ) as a cart horse by some Sheffield fans, he’s not the natural goalscorer that we need. He did ok here last time but he certainly wasn’t prolific. 22 in 58 games is nothing to get excited about and yet he’s not got anywhere near that at his other clubs. His wage demands might well be too much anyway hopefully. |

A very good Swansea City performance. Individually and collectively we were at a decent level. And tactically too. Within team sport, when most or all of your players are on song as they were today you will usually win. And it firmly puts to bed any nonsense only a few days ago about “ having to win to avoid a revolt “ or something along those lines. Congratulations to LW and all involved. Luke continues to do a fine job. It’s so easy to reflect negatively after a defeat . To be wise after the event. If only we had done this or that….. 10th place is better than par for us at the moment. Please remember this. And for the gloom and doom merchants out there try to take some positivity and joy from these games. It might help you to start enjoying things a bit more. |

But of a silly title unless it’s tongue in cheek We are doing ok. Mid table is a decent return. Of course losing to Hull was disappointing but par for us this season based on budget and where we stand as a club is around 13-16th. These are two tough games as all are in this league. |

A former manager Russell Martin gets sacked. That’s football and it happens. He’s handled the pressure quite well and of course we all know that big bucks will considerably soften the blow. But some of the childish jealous petty remarks on here are beyond belief. Even comments that bring his partner into it. Remarks about her appearance as well. How incredibly sad and shallow some people are. Get a grip chaps. Football manager loses job. It happens. Why the hatred? |

You can’t of course but I’d suggest that the staff at Plymouth are not doing their jobs properly. There will or should be constant monitoring and assessment by staff of player fitness levels and that includes weight and body fat. This is not the Dog & Duck Pub team. Plymouth and Rooney need to be offering a detailed explanation as a fit and firing Obafemi can keep them in the Championship. |
