My 'official' hours are 9am till 5:30pm. I do client services work and I don't think I have ever done strict hours like that. Often start between 8 and 9 (sometimes earlier) and often finish around 7ish or later. Also put in some weekend work when required. No overtime and all part and parcel of the job.
In answer to the original post. I would start packing up at 5pm and leave after 5. Unless you really have somewhere to be what does it matter?
I went to the Palace Vs Stoke game last night and was hoping to see Eze play. Similar to the original poster has said when he didn't get a chance last night I initially thought Viera doesn't rate him. However seeing Olise and Zaha play I couldn't see where he could fit into the team with them both. I think they will hold onto him as they will need a Zaha replacement (most Palace supporters reckon his time is almost up with them)
Having said all that... This would have been the perfect game for Eze to show them all what he can do while rebuilding on the way back to recovery after injury
Today was utter $hite I agree however we remain 4th (for now) and you never know we might nick a win next time out. Need to sort out the issues quickly however as could see us start to slip out of the playoffs if we continue to play like today.
I don't know enough about FFP in the EFL so asking the board... but if Newcastle still manage to get relegated despite spending millions like they are on new players are they likely to get into big trouble when they are in the Championship? i.e. points deduction, transfer embargo etc?
Or does it not work like that? Guessing at very least they would need to get rid of their big wage signings somehow?
Nothing will happen with this especially if you start threatening peoples safety. Let's concentrate on the league and trying to get into the playoffs I say. A few duff results recently but having fewer games to play and a Jan transfer window might strengthen us to push on a little (I hope).
Whomever gets the nod is likely to be up against Phillips and Furlong. Personally I would put Barbet there and as others have suggested Dunne in his place for the back 3. We need someone that is defensive minded and that won't jump in and get beat easily. Listening to the podcast the other day Chair explained he loves it when he plays against players that aren't natural defenders because of this exact reason.
We might be a little pop sided as a result but Barbet has a mean cross on him too as we have seen in the past so if he does find himself further up and can whip in an early ball we might still see some success there. Chair and Willock need to be concentrated in linking up across the front but I would say they might see a bit of luck on the right tonight.
We will see but the team ethic is so strong at the moment I have confidence in whomever Warbs picks.
Seen that Brentford want to send Joel Valencia out on loan. Can't we get him instead as a rapid forward player. Ok maybe not a striker but scored a load in the Championship and proven at this level
I don't really get this one if I am honest unless Kelman has improved and is likely to be on the bench as a backup to Dykes and Austin. From what I saw of Bonne when he did come on I was happy with it. He gave us an alternative to the Dykes and Austin link-up and seemed to grab a few goals when needed. If Kelman can offer that next season it remains to be seen but as Kelman hasn't really played too much and is still unproven at Championship level (whereas Bonne is) it is a bigger risk.
Maybe Bonne thinks he should be starting and just wants to play week in week out which is far enough. Maybe he will help them get promotion and come back a better player. IMO Austin isn't going to be a long-term solution so we do need to think about the future strikers.
I used to go to Maidstone Utd quite a bit... Moved to Tonbridge for the commute so now support the dark side Tonbridge Angels. Love a local ground but the quality of football sometimes is really poor. Least you see a lot of goals!
