Dykes is our best striker.

Let’s just ignore Frey works his socks off and already has 2 goals this season, after 3 starts and 1 sub appearance

He’s injured. The club have said it plenty of times already.

Too early to name anyone POTY just like it’s too early to write off our other new signings

Alfie Lloyd

Lloyd and Kolli both need loan time. I think both are easily good enough for league one, which is a great improvement on our recent academy offerings.

Kolli I think has the technique and the physicality but needs to learn the off the ball side of the game. I think he may only need six months elsewhere. I wouldn’t mind if we kept him but only if he’s going to get plenty of minutes.

Lloyd I’m personally not sold on - he has a poor first touch, doesn’t seem to have that much power or pace. But should do well in a lower half league one team as clearly was better than most Cambridge had on the pitch.

We won.
We’ll get fitter.
Some of those players will be out on loan before the end of the month.
Early cup games are basically an extended pre season.
Better teams than us lost tonight, WBA, Sunderland, Bristol City

Our starting centre forward this season

Frey so far, Dykes second choice, Celar needs a lot of time on the training pitch in how to play the lone striker role and how to press.

Well said. Beggars belief at some of tonight’s posts.
Didn’t know until tonight that the mighty QPR were entitled to beat League One teams away from home.

Just had a look at eBay - only one has actually sold and it was for £12.99.

Kolli showed more ability in 45 minutes to me than Sinclair did in 64 games. Kolli is our next big gem.

Fair comment on the one footed although I based my comments on watching his training before the match as well when he was definitely using both feet well

Definitely not fat. Stood right next to him and his arms had veins popping out of them 😂

Not when I was earshot. I was just getting his autograph with my son. So it was mainly kids around us!

He was at the stadium. Didn’t appear injured. But seemed in good spirits when talking to the fans.

Good game to watch especially the first half and last twenty mins.

Great atmosphere for a friendly and the Spurs fans played their part.

We were unlucky not to score a few on the day. Blinding saves from Kolli first half and Dykes second half.

Players in general did well. They looked fit and we had an identity and style of play early in pre season. Not sure about the short goal kicks though, generally got ourselves into trouble. Thought the out ball to Dunne on the right worked better.

Two stars of the show for me:- Nardi who was exceptional with both feet and made a few great saves. He could be premiership class on that display. And then Kolli he was really exciting. A big unit for a flair player, some great moments and he looks like a star. I hope we don’t loan him out and we just give him a chance.

Cook was class he is such an important player for us. Probably the best centre half we’ve had in years. Clarke salter also very good and composed.

Not wanting to be negative but Santos was poor, he looked like he needed time to get used to the team and the league. He has technical ability but I think he may take 6 months to show his true potential. Dixon bonner is one who flatters to deceive for me. He’s not a first choice championship level centre mid in my view. Anderson as much as I love the character is very very one paced and it was very evident today.

Overall a good game, good performance but a few things to work on.

Great read as always. Agree with most although I think Willock was lucky to get away with a C/D. He really should be performing as well as Chair based on ability. I’m hopeful he’s leaving to be honest, best for both parties now IMO - I won’t miss him.
