Was thinking the same thing.

My journey to work from home (South Ruislip to Colliers Wood) and back again has gone from 1 hour 15 approx to now nearly 2 hours when done by road, since the bridge closure . Putney Bridge is mayhem in both directions all day long .

Edit. Actually thinking about it Sheen,Barnes and Mortlake are utter chaos too since the closure.

Maybe we could incorporate a new bridge and stadium that straddles the river ?

Yes the Forest one is a great shout. Can’t remember if I shed a tear or not but I remember it being very emotional that day . Went up on the train on my own as it was a gut feeling that we wouldn’t be back in the premier league for a while .
I’d forgotten that we stayed until Ray came out long after the game . Also , before that , have I misremembered or did the Forest fans invade the pitch at full time and a large number come right up to us and start applauding us?

The ‘no points deduction announcement’ is certainly another emotional moment .
Was milling around on South Africa with thousands of others when the guy who used to do the Football League show on BBC 1 announced it outside the main entrance . I was about 100 yards away from him but the news and the cheers and roars of joy swept up SA road like a wave . Grown men in tears everywhere, everyone hugging each other and probably the first time my 12 year old son really saw what this club meant to people .
I still get the lump in my throat watching the The Four Year Plan when it gets to that part .

Twice I can remember.
After the cup final replay in 82. 7 year old me went to bed inconsolable . Went to the first game but wasn’t allowed to go to the replay on the Thursday night as it was too late .

And after the play off win . Sat in a hotel room in Vegas …early morning there …unable to find the game on anywhere in the city so sat and followed people’s Twitter feeds . Obviously knew O’Neil had been sent off and we were under the cosh .It was hell .
Then got a text from a work colleague just saying “Goal”.

Presumed it was for Derby and threw my phone across the room.
It carried on pinging with messages so after about 5 mins I went and got it and of course we’d won. Out of sheer relief and joy I wept like a child 🤣🤣.

Closed the laptop down at 2-0 (wouldn’t have done if I was in my own but had a living room full of family celebrating/ dragging my 50th into its second weekend . I love you all dearly …..but you know …Rangers are on) .
But as mentioned by Clive and others , we’d seen this movie before . Bullied by teams bigger and stronger and pressing us into our own corner areas . Just can’t keep the ball at all against those sides and agree that we just rinse and repeat away from home . Same kit , same referee appeasing the home fans , same slow start after half time , but mostly , same wilting under pressure away from home.
Turning it off was the best thing I did so I could pay attention to those that really mattered and to be honest I ain’t given it much thought since .

Onto Saturday

Friday Choons - Drums

I knew of them but hadn’t given them a real proper listen before . So I disappeared down a little Zombi rabbit hole for a bit and loved it .

Thanks for the recommendation mate . Enjoyed that

Brann’s drumming is effortless yet as tight as it gets in the metal genre.
There are better drummers of course, but I enjoy watching this guy play .

School End Lower
at 17:19 20 Feb 2025

A net would work I think but it would probably restrict the view of people at the back of the school end upper. Watched a very disgruntled Derby fan from my vantage point ,looking to take his fury out on someone , choose the easy target and that was the poor sods sitting below him as he started looking for things to throw . Luckily he managed his screwed up match ticket or something similar and that was it but a net would certainly protect fans from that sort of wally.
I sat in the lower school end for the Sheffield Wednesday game and didn’t see it personally but was told by people within the club that they were spitting on the front row of the fans below . Not sure a net would protect fans from nonsense like that though.

Another slightly peculiar thread .
Tells me that things on the pitch must be going ok when we have to dig Warnock out for something to gripe about .

Each to their own of course. But can’t think of a better or more enjoyable season in my now 50 years .
“Charlatan” is just a bit much personally .

Apologies to everyone else reading this .

I wouldn’t normally continue with such playground nonsense but I’ve just had enough of this person now .
With every point raised, this a fair one about Paal being pretty decent Friday , there a snipe or swipe at someone and this one is not acceptable to me .
Crying wolf for attention is the ultimate narcissist and they are ruining a message board that really is a great mix of full and rich opinions usually discussed and argued in an adult and sensible manner.
Emotions can boil over occasionally of course but this board has given me so much info and insight over the years.

So apologies again .

‘Paal wasn't poor, despite the comms pronouncing his name 'pall'. There's a real vendetta against him by some on this board, which is unpleasant, and one wonders about the reasons behind it.’

Report away you utter lemon.

The post above and your last post are clear In their intent , which is to incite .
When Loyalitat clearly picked up your bile and ran with it, did you correct him at any point ? Did you make it clear to him that it wasn’t race related? No.
No , because it’s what you wanted .
It’s all you come on here for. You crave attention across nearly every thread you read .
And in your last post you prove the narcissism you posses and which envelopes you by saying that I’m the bully . You can call me what you like. But a bully definitely not. And to suggest I ( I’ve criticised Paal a fair bit since he’s been here ) and many others on here are influenced by race and we both know that was your aim, is just unacceptable.
You throw the word bully or nasty out on every thread once people have responded angrily to your disgusting and childish nonsense.

Your self awareness is non existent and for me you are ruining this message board and have been for months and months .
The amount of rows and arguments you get into in a near daily basis with different decent QPR fans proves my point.

My “bullying obsession with you “?
I’ve had you on mute for many months !!! That’s hardly obsession and only saw this latest tripe when I wasn’t logged in and unfortunately caught a whiff.
So report me all you like .
If it was a difference of opinion I’d just leave it . But when you deliberately insinuate something that isn’t true I will not “shut the f*ck up” or go away .

Get a life and join everyone else in talking about OUR beloved football club in a mature and sensible fashion or go away and leave people in peace .
Sad tw*t

Something about a Valentine’s Day massacre – Report
at 14:31 16 Feb 2025

Great report for a great evening all in all.

I got pelters on here from certain quarters because I criticised Madsen and Ashby after the Hull victory (others did too but strangely nothing was said to them 🤔) but that was very different . Those 2 very nearly cost us that victory that evening (not deliberately of course).
Friday was encouraging , exciting at times and very much improved .

A thoroughly enjoyable evening out.

Great watch .

I was stood outside LR a couple hours before kick off waiting for the family and a Korean ‘fan’ came up and starting chatting . Lovely fellow.
Was on holiday in London and got a ticket to his first ever game .
Had been in the club shop and spent a fair bit .
As my family turned up he started introducing himself and chatting like we had been mates for decades. 🤣🤣

I tried to ask him about the Korean fascination for following individuals rather than teams but the language barrier on that one proved a step too far. He talked to me about Park and more surprisingly Young Suk Yung he knew a lot about .
Anyway , very nice bloke . I wonder if he is doing part of the video clip ?
