Lets talk about Tymon
at 11:48 1 Dec 2024

It didn't help that he was having injections in his ankle/foot to enable him to play because we were short in advanced positions. Plus he was asked to play a lone striker which is not his game. Of course the Wales games have given him confidence but to credit Bellamy for moving him to 10 is unfair because he was playing there before the last 2 Wales games, prior to that Bellamy had him more to the right of midfield. Anyway the knockers have gone quiet for a while.

Personally I would "rest" Ronald and bring him on later, it may be the kick up the backside he needs. He is a better player than he is showing for us and no it's not the coach.

Personally I feel our beaches are no longer great, the continual sand dredging has left the beaches stoney and not great for walking into the sea. The fantastic beaches of my youth are no longer there and you will find far better around the UK.

Jason Levien has left us in a stronger position than when he took over?
at 09:52 1 Dec 2024

I have no issues with Franco on 4 yellows on the bench yesterday, they will be wiped in a couple of games. I also don't see a problem of a midfield of Grimes, Allen and Cullen. Personally I would have let Allen stay on a little longer and swapped Eon for Ronald instead of Allen. Cullen is playing well as an AM and offers more than Franco IMO. Sometimes the like or dislike of players has to be ignored when looking at the best balance of a team.

Cullen was playing AM for us a couple of games before Bellamy played him there.

It could be the yellow card situation comes into the equation when Franco is playing. 4 yellows and he does look likely to get a second the way he plays.

I believe it. For many families money is very very tight as industry is changing and better paid jobs are disappearing. Possibly some should bare this in mind when criticising supporters for not attending games. Imo the biggest drop off in attendees is families, these are the hardest hit with the drop off of well paid jobs in the area.

Ok we will call this the trust thread. Keep all your trust posts to this thread and don't mention the trust on other threads.

There is a massive difference between the u21s, where he was excellent even when he ventured out wide, and the first team. This is the reason players are not coming through, he needs a spell out on loan.

Clearly he didn't go today. If he did he's a WUM.

Swans in another goal glut game but no finishing power

There are constructive opposing views and there are some who only come on here to wind people up, they are easy to see and posters should decide whether to respond or not.

If true I'm glad he went. There is nothing wrong with a chairman new to the industry learning what success is about and the benefits it brings.

Just sums up the mentality of some posters, probably best ignored.

Cullen playing AM is a totally different player. How much of him starting up front earlier in the season was down to Vipotnik not being match fit and we had nobody else.

Swansea City v Portsmouth : Match day thread MATCH DAY

Most of the team were poor first half. I thought that we were tired and sluggish and just wanted to get through the game. Come the second half we just went for it, every time we broke the press we looked like scoring. If we had scored 5 it wouldn't have been undeserved, they missed a couple of sitters as well.

Enjoyed the game and how we didn't score more is unbelievable. A couple of silly mistakes cost us. Finally Tymon is a monster of a player.

It could be that Abdulai shows much in training and little on a match day, some players are like that. Full of promise and potential but can't deliver in the match environment where everything is quicker and sharper. Possibly Williams is just hoping he will click, he is a so much a better player in the u21s even when he takes up wide positions.

Kaplan and Levien have done nothing for Swansea except fail miserably. They offloaded the club for $3,000 because nobody else would take it off them because of the state they have reduced the club to. They are gone and you are the only person to have anything good to say about them. Think on that and the reasons behind it.

Edit after your edit.

It would be a maximum of $40M not $50M.

It's a step in the right direction, albeit a small step. Next possibility better advertising, particularly the electronic screen above the ticket office.
