With the polls hovering around 28% to 33% now, it would be a close one. 28% of the 3.1M would work out as 44.5% out of the people who identify as Welsh. |

37% of the 3.1M are non Welsh people living in Wales.
if 33% (highest number) of the 3.1M voted yes for independence and they were all people who identified as Welsh, that would be 1,029,000 people and would work out as 52.3% of the people who identified as Welsh. |

The number of people identifying as Welsh has been slowly decreasing through the years. The latest polls for Welsh independence are showing around 28 to 33% would vote yes.

A poll on twitter by a Swans Welsh independence supporter has 35% wanting to play in the league of Wales.
A similar result for a poll on should the Union Jack flag be banned.

So you're saying the vast majority over 50 support unionism and the majority under 50 support Welsh independence?
What is the overall majority for all ages combined? Because saying that the majority under 50 support Welsh independence therefore Union Jack flags should not be in the stadium doesn't make any sense. |
