Great stuff Alex. As we now appear to have a reasonably strong squad, with competition in all areas I would like to think that no-one has a guaranteed starting position. Places must be earned on merit. Marti picks the team and stands or falls by the results.

Absolutely aston_hoop, I could not agree with you more. I like the idea of bringing the average age of the squad down by recruiting younger talent from the continent. and releasing older less capable players. Previous regimes of recruiting a has been or a never will be has failed miserably. I like the new approach, but time will tell if it's successful.

Longest number of years as a fan

My day took me to see the Rangers on Bank Holiday Monday 1959. I think we beat Wrexham but I can't really remember. I was 5. Been a fan ever since.
