Three out of next four games at home. For most teams that would be a good thing, but we really need to start putting in similar performances to today at Loftus Rd. |

From their twitter feed. Alfie misses out ❌ The R's forward misses tonight's clash owing to a minor issue picked up in training on Monday. [Post edited 27 Nov 18:51]

Any free kick, the player taking doesn’t have to pass to a teammate in order to restart play, they can dribble ball or take several touches if they wish. That will quicken the restart and play in general. I think they introduced this in hockey a few years back??? |

As said below, especially 5 and 7 aside football up to u10, you rarely see any player deliberately heading the ball so it won’t impact the play. In fact, most shy away from heading the ball at all. When they move to u11 is when it could make a noticeable difference as that’s when mini soccer moves to 9 aside with an increase on pitch size. So things like corners could be impacted perhaps. What they’ve also introduced is the removal of throw-ins for same ages. It’ll be a kick on or dribble on that you sometimes see implemented at grassroots tournaments. |

Which games will be live on Sky? Each full weekend of EFL fixtures will see 10 live matches shown - including three Championship, two League One and two League Two matches all broadcast live at 12:30pm on Saturdays. All opening weekend, final day, and midweek fixtures in the EFL will be shown live, as will all games played on Bank Holidays including Easter, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. |
| Forum Thread | Starting line ups - 1st game vs yesterday at 20:21 11 Feb 2024
Was looking back through the teams this weekend from Watford away to yesterday. Vs Watford Begovic Kakay Fox Gubbins Paal Dozzell Field Smyth Kelman Chair Dykes Vs Norwich Begovic Cannon Cook JCS Paal Colback Hayden Willock Hodge Chair Armstrong Only 3 starters from the first game of season to now, albeit with Field out suspended. I'm sure there's probably been big changes in previous seasons but I can't remember a transformation like that anytime recently, not only in personnel but in style. Chalk/Cheese. As has been mentioned before, it really was a baby/bath water/whole bath launch when GA was appointed. The fact that we're still in with a shout of staying up is remarkable. |

ST holder in upper loft My recent record when going to Loftus Rd. Didn’t attend Stoke, win 4-2 Couldn’t make Hull, win 2-0 Attended Plymouth, draw 0-0 against 10 men. Attended Southampton, lose 1-0 Attended Cardiff, lose 2-1 Attended Watford, lose 2-1 Couldn’t make Millwall, win 2-0 Attended Huddersfield, nick a 1-1 in stoppage time. As ridiculous as this sounds, I could make it today but I’m purposely staying away as we need this win. So you can all thank me later if we get 3 points. |

Fairly long-term lurker, posted a handful of times. Mum’s family from the Bush, she was born in Warbeck Rd so was inevitable that I’d be introduced to Rangers at the age of 7 in 1980. ST holder throughout the 80’s followed by very infrequent visits for many years until I made the ultimate sacrifice and brought my own boy along to his first match about 9-10 years ago – a 3-2 win against Leicester, amazing game to watch. Pretty much been in the upper loft as ST holders since. Returning to Rangers coincided with my involvement with my local grassroots team, Wealdstone Youth, where I’ve coached my now U16 team since they were 6 years old and also help run the club. Very similar to supporting QPR, it ages you. Big fan of Clive’s writing, the depth of feeling he achieves with every preview and match report is outstanding and I think one of the main reasons I enjoy this site so much. Supporting QPR has and will always be a mixture of the very odd high and mostly lows, The way the club has been run over the last few years makes me question why the hell I keep coming but I guess we’re all going through that so this site must act as some sort of free therapy. 3 points this Sunday, I can feel it! |
