When Rangers came to the Dell in friendly in 1982, they bought about 3,000, a few of them (an understatement) where in town Saturday night, but no trouble whatsoever either the night before or on the day of the game

Good from the point of view we wont be wasting good money on players that we dont need this season, but bad news in that i would rather have seen us get £8-10 million a piece ofr KWP, Tall Paul & Sulemana

Trabzonspor Once Again Trying To Get A Southampton Player On The Cheap
at 12:21 30 Jan 2025

1. Because they are part of the Sport Republic group and it is mutually beneficial

2. They are pushing for Europe and if they paid all his wages @ say £50k a week and also paid us a £1 million loan feel that would add up to £2 million, that is good business for both clubs, if we can't sell him, I would imagine that Trabzonspor are offering something similar.

3. Ankersen is more interested in Goztepe because that is his area of concentration, he has never been involved in the "day to day" operation of Southampton, that was down to Kraft over the past year, despite that fact Ankersen gets the blame.

4. Yes probably, Sulemana's wages would only equate to about £1 million so scope for a loan fee.

5. What do you think Saints have been doing for the past 18 months ? the problem is on £50 k or so a week perhaps more, finding someone who will buy match his wages, so that he would want to go is not that easy

I was having this conversation yesterday and I think most football clubs have a famous or semi famous fan in the music business , the Premier League is easy so lets start with the Championship

Watford - Elton John
Sheffield united - Paul Heaton

Before I read this I had just written the very same thing in the Verdict on the home page, I also said in that, we need a leader and an organiser, Bednarek & THB are good players but not a good pairing
