Humes did 19 games that season and conceded 44. Keen did 27 games and conceded 55. Keen may not have done the last one or two games of that season though after our fate was already sealed. |

True but it was much more entertaining than the turgid rubbish that's often been served up since that's generally resulted in less goals and less points. |

Don't forget Hall and McGeehan. You could make a pretty decent team out of the players that were here last season and are now elsewhere. I'd fancy them to beat our current lot too. I don't think relegation is the answer. We just have to keep getting marginally better each season. If you have a shock season like Carlisle did two seasons ago then you possibly end up in the worse place than you started. The same could happen to Crawley. |

Can't see them going for McKenna personally. He's not a big enough name. Humes averaged 1.18 points per game in League One only McGreal (1.48) and Bloomfield (1.26) have achieved better since and nine people have had a crack at it. Also, out of the last 12 permanent managers, we scored more goals per game under Humes than anyone else. At the time it seemed dire but it was so much better than what we've experienced the last four and a bit seasons, apart from Wayne Brown's 22 game stint at the end of the 2021-22 season that yielded 33 points. |

I've just watched it for the first time. If you did that in the centre circle it would probably be a free kick to the opposition. If you made contact with anyone it would probably be a straight red. Do it in the penalty area and score and it's fine, obviously. |

Evidently the goal was given as Grigg convinced the officials that he didn't touch the ball so it didn't matter that he was offside. He's since been credited with the goal. You couldn't make it up. Another piece of bad luck and decision that's gone against us. |

It's Danny Cowley's birthday today, let's hope he gets a gift from Chesterfield or the ref or from anywhere really. |

Oni is also missing due to injury. He was starting to look like a real player too. |

He's only 35. Tell him to bring his boots with him. |

I saw a post on Twitter before last weekend's fixtures that of the 22 teams that had won you could make a circle with who had beaten who. So basically each club has beaten the club next to them and it circles right round to the first club. Turns out it's not that easy to explain! |

Does anyone know, maybe noah perhaps, how many fans attend all 46 league games in a season? I've got no idea whether it's 10, 50 or 100 but I feel like those fans deserve something for that level of commitment especially given that we might as well be in the Northern league given the location of the vast majority of our opponents.
