Very well said. And sometimes even well set up and analysed we'll still lose but we're a poor side at the moment and the job to improve is long term. I always felt this would seem like a long season and so it's proving but turning this sick juggernaut around was always very long term with who knew what within that process. The odd win here and there will do wonders for them and I can only applaud the wonderful effort of our supporters who are travelling away in greater numbers and turning up at home likewise. I'm sure the players appreciate this. Keep executing those plans and get fully stuck in and we'll be mid table by Easter!! Up the U's and their support! |

The interviewing on that channel - Gregory included - are deplorable, juvenile and unwatchable. They are excruciatingly patronising with fed responses. No use to me nor insight into the reality of our U's. I stopped bothering some time ago after a particularly ghastly interview with Samson. 100%. |

Still down where we've become accustomed and that's part of the problem I suppose. A bunch of players who haven't gelled at all yet and no strikers as usual. As I have often said, with a ground that's never been much of a home advantage mid table will be a real achievement and we must work at picking up some points away from home. Consistent we are not, good enough we are nowhere near. As supporters yes, Durham "grim", but at least we're used to it. |

* I was also witness to the dog attack yChic Brodie. * I was one of Wessex' 53 at Cardiff - wonderful Joe Dunne goal. * But, on balance I think it's the last minute howler own goal at Craven Cottage when we won 1-2 with ten men after a tremendous rear guard performance in torrential rain! Superb goal by Kinsella too. |

I understand your sentiment and analysis but possibly, just possibly could it also be that the division is conversely stronger than for some time? It seems to have no stand out team and everyone seems capable of beating everyone else. Noah felt that Walsall were the best side and best organised team yet they lost 2-6 four days later. We shall see. I'd just welcome mid-table security. AfcWimbledon are potentially best placed to establish authority in our league as they have a good record and games in hand. They were decent against us too. |

Yes Durham, another point. A clean sheet and we didn't lose. We're not losing like we have been for the last four years or so. Relief. Colchester United is a very sick parrot and has been in a spiral of decline for fifteen years. To reverse this culture/norm must take an equivalent value in time, surely. From my perspective as I reflect on the last years to finish even mid table will be a big boost to my morale because I'm sick of looking at the foot of division four as you must be too. So, with more than a point a game thus far, a couple of dangerous strikers, two reasonably reliable midfielders and defenders and an okish goalkeeper the U's have made it up to 16th or so. It's progress....though not as we know it. And not as fast as we'd like. But for now it's as though we're teetering on the brink of something better before too long. Mid table will do me this year. Just can't quite expect anything better. Hope to be proven wrong! |

Agree - no equal in my experience. John McLaughlin was quick too but Hall was a superb player and we were fortunate to have him. The pace of Edwards will be useful for this season if he stays fit. |

Formidable Mon Ami, bien dit. Et malheureusement vous avec raison. Restez en France - belle decision!! And, yes, three points on Saturday would a step in a better direction. I hope our land recovers and am sure it will one day but you have highlit most of the reasons that it won't for a very long time. Living away from the old country enables a unique and dispassionate overview. It saddened me when I realised what the UK had thrown away. |
