Considering we have no strikers, I for one could see him being a missing piece we desperately need. His finishing and touch were not exactly immaculate but hardly a downgrade on current options. We did get a fee for him but how was that spent? ...on a '#10 who has been replaced by a player we had all along. |

Someone agrees with me. Ala Celar he was often a liability in attack. No vision, slow, his fouls broke momentum. Yes, he is a great target, but too hesitant. Killed at least 2 break aways . Now that I have had one idea ( using Edwards as a DM) adopted, please consider Jimmy D as a CF at least late in games. .. better control, more speed, better feet than Michy. But yes I won’t fault him for effort. And glad to see Morrison back |

Concur. Our best spell was while playing a very defensive set up and relying on Smythe, Kolli and Chair for breakaways. With injuries forcing Marti's hand, I still think a 3CB set, with Edwards being a DM/central CB might be an option, flanked by Morrison/Cook and Fox. Maybe then Smythe and Kaito get more get more crosses in. |

yes. A strength we have is an excess of defenders....which (along with Kolli) got us off the bottom. I am very much in support of Edwards being the deep lying CB/DM) which apparently he has played, supported by Cook/Fox/Morrison behind him. |

1. Rayan Kolli starting or as a sub is pivotal for this team. Hopefully he is nearly ready. 2. Might be time to look deeper into the ranks to find some offense. Andersen has had a really bad season. There’s been a lot of experimental line ups. Hopefully we can settle on what the team should be to get through to the end of the season. |

Its my feeling Edwards could have an option to buy or handshake agreement. |

THIS! I was looking to see if anyone else saw the same thing, and I am happy to see this. If Chair is our 10, why not go with 2 midfielders with better engines. Morgan effectively in for Frey. Note-again, QPR win this game if Frey converts his chances. |

In my view, the preview already predicted the outcome. The new modus operant with Chair as a ‘10’ is part of the experiment to open up the midfield. I think it works but the weak point is Up top, not the midfield. That said I also think Yang is a step up and should be sen more going forward. I still think a top 6 finish is there for the picking. |

IF CN decided to look at the lower leagues for a Celar replacement, Kelman ticks alot of boxes as a consideration...yes and he is (currently) ours. IF he was at Loftus i have no doubt he would be on the team sheet. I thought the given LO's transfer business in Jan, he might be out instead he has gotten better. Given the dialogue earlier on this string, maybe it has just all clicked. |

Loudly disagree here! Our resurgence has coincided with Kolli's emergence from wherever he was hidden. I recall him coming on for Frey and scored whereas Frey could not put away decent chances. Kolli needs to start. He is faster, puts MUCH better pressure up top, has faster feet and even tends to bring the best out of Illi. |

All. I am usually brief, so apologies if I don't elaborate. 1. Kolli. Out of nowhere I saw him starting vs Norwich in a game I was expecting us to get rolled. instead he scores 2. BUT (and not the only time either) he impressed me in his pressing CBs and GETTING the ball. Plus his teamwork with Chair was revelatory. In my mind he is faster, a better carrier of the ball and has better feet than Frey. To me I see him as the better starter with Frey coming later to finish off the frustrated opposing CBs. 2. Madsen. My observation is that his defensive game is just not up to speed. He has been culpable for not closing down opposing Midfielders or not anticipating passes. Currently, Varane, Field, Morgan, Colback are ahead of him. 3. Celar. MY observation is he was continually offside or slow to anticipate passes in to him. He was not decisive in his opportunities and got more frustrated as time went on. He missed that penalty and when he did finally put a patch together he was injured. I would be easily persuaded into a thinking he might feel best pressing restart. |
