Do results at U18 level matter?

I thought it was about coaching players to be better, to develop skills, and to learn. If you're winning games what learning is there? You're in a much better place to lose more and identify the good players and performance, rather than win everything and struggle to identify who's really any good.

Of the U18s not many are likely to sign as first team players - we get 1 or 2 every few years and we know that ratio has to improve. I'd prefer to see players not good enough moved on and the better ones coached to be even better.

I dived into 'From'. Very Lost vibes but more interesting narrative.

Catching up with Sherwood S1 - very good.

First I remember was Jungle Book in Kingston somewhere.

The second one was Jaws when I was 7. It was released with an A certificate meaning anyone under 14 could see it with an adult - a bit like PG now.

Frey for both. He's been superb so far, making and scoring 3 and assisting 1 of the 8 goals we've scored.

The Luton 2nd goal was immense - for the experience in the away end, the finish, and how well we played in the build up to it.

We have one hell of a manager (n/t)
at 16:40 31 Aug 2024

He knew how to beat Luton and explained post match. They have an aggressive man to man high pressure. When we beat the press they have no cover and chances come. The 3 best chances - 2 goals and Dembele early chance - came from this situations happening.

He knows we need to defend better from crosses but his preparation for the teams we're playing is spot on.

He will go down as one of our best managers ever if we can keep him.

My favourite moment of this week about him was in the 1st win over Luton. We weren't awarded a free kick in the second half and he shouted something at the ref. Someone on the Luton bench (not Edwards) must have said to him to f-off because he turned to whoever it was and looked him straight on and said, "No, you f-off".

Superb.

FWIW I've been married for 30+ years although I have no idea why this matters in respect of this thread.

Of course it's not all men, and it's not even a majority, but that's not the point.

The point is that almost one in two women have experienced sexual harassment in their lifetimes and that's because the behaviour is normalised and accepted.

And boys are responsible for their thoughts. If you cede responsibility to women, then women become both the victims and causes of men's behaviour.
