Dykes has such a poor first touch doesn’t offer much. Think not starting Armstrong was a mistake, this defence would be rattled with his pace in behind. Hope Marti can see this opportunity for three points here, no cohesion/tactical plan from Sunderland. |

Marti likes to switch it up with team selections, hoping to see Willock, Anderson and Chair in from the start with Armstrong leading the attack (although more than likely Dykes). 2-0 To the R's Anderson and Hyden on the scoresheet, lovely day for it! |

Despite the obvious bad calls, my biggest frustration was a throw in situation. Second half, ball goes out on the right, think it was Ajayi, picks it up from where its left the pitch, in the meantime I believe it was Furlong picks a spare ball up from about 20 yards further down the line and is allowed to continue play. This all occurred in our half, nothing came of it but how this is allowed to happen is beyond me. |

Agree with Nix, to make those changes at half time and change our shape was so refreshing to see, non of our previous managers would have read the game as well and made such big decisions. Moving to three at the back and bringing Smyth on as a wingback was exactly what was needed and a whole 45 minutes of it not a 15 minute throw of the dice, last ditch attempt. I presume Hayden was a tactical decision as he was on a yellow, for such an important game decisions like that need to be made. My only criticism is not starting Armstrong thought he would have had the beating of Morrison who defends well but has no pace, Chair exposed this a few times. Very interested to see next weekends starting line up! |

Watching Dunne take on his man and bomb it down the wing was a thing of beauty but hard not to give it to Willock. |

Just had a little nosey to see the general mood/expectations ahead of Wednesdays trip. Its like reading our threads at the tail end of GA's reign. Tired and negative comments, sounds as if things don't go their way early doors they could turn on their own players, a lot seem to be relying heavily on the atmosphere to influence the result. A bright start from the R's and I believe we can come away with an empathic win! Come on you RRRRRRR's! |

Surely Richard’s is breaching his contract in some way? Or is he just accumulating fines for not turning up? How the hell did Doncaster get a full season out of him? |

| Forum Thread | Transfer deadline day......? at 16:57 31 Jan 2024
With the window closing at 23:00 tomorrow are we going to see any last minute business? Seems like we have cleared a few off the wage bill but no idea how much we have spent on Frey guessing between £10-14k pw. Hoping there is room for a loan or two as we need cover all over the pitch, our bench has not looked very inspiring of late. Lots of transfer activity today so expect it to continue tomorrow, hope we are in for a surprise! |

Signed for National League Barnet, wow! what a drop down the leagues that is! |

Marti said he’d needed to ‘get creative’ in the window, if that means finding a disgruntled giant in Belgian that’s willing to tear up his contract to play for the R’s then fair play. |

Highly doubtful as he’s valued at 2.5mil but then it does say we’ve offered an initial loan with obligation to buy. Sounds like the same approach we used for Taylor Richard’s. |

At 26 Amos should have plenty more to give, let’s hope having a 6 month absence from the game he’s concentrated on his fitness and comes back stronger. Mentally it must be a massive challenge for him, from the brink of the Tottenham first team, two big injuries to being released by us and not picked up will need strong mental strength. |

Amos and Johansen, feel for Amos always liked him as a player very honest and hard working surely he will find a club soon? Also surprised Johansen hasn't got a one year contract somewhere, lost his legs but still capable. |
